...Create a rule that sends all email from "*@lsl.lindenlabs.com" to a special folder , or straight to the garbage during the time they are still happening. Even better would be "* Linden@lsl.lindenlabs.com", that would block only messages from anone with a linden lastname...

I've gone back thru a bunch of emails I got from SL - offline IMs, inventory drops/accepts, friend offers, group notices, scripts that explicitly email, ect. Everything _except_ the script emails come from ...@im.agni.lindenlab.com. Emails from in-world scripts come from ...@lsl.secondlife.com.

This is the actual email address given to the mailer, not the friendly name. I'm not sure what the OP is seeing but I can't find anything with an actual address that ends with @lsl.lindenlabs.com.

With script emails, it seems to use the object name as the friendly name in the email. I haven't tested it but it looks like if you name an object "Philip Linden" and script it to send you an email, you'll get an email that looks like it's coming from Philip (at least until you look at the actual 'from' address).

Good to know. Now both lsl.secondlife and lsl.lindenlab are in my filter for instant deletion. Thanks for posting your findings.

This is likely why Sindy was asking about the email address at the top of the page. If you name an object "234029879875723 Linden@lindenlabssssss.lsl.com" and script it to llEmail somebody, the email may appear to come from that address until you check the actual sender.

It would be interesting to know what the actual sender address was that the OP got the emails from. It's not clear from her reply above...

edit: 'above' = previous page.
