I also have the same problem and all the suggestions above.. did not work for me.
Most of my skirts are no-mods so the one that says to adjust the sliders is no option for me.

I have a lot skirts.. all don't work anymore at all.. all have the exact same sympton.
I am so frigging pissed now

BAH! This one finally got one of my customers.

I'll have to let them know of the 'work-arounds' to see if it works for them.

Oh well! So far I've been lucky with a somewhat stable, reliable viewer and items. Guess I gotta take a hit once in a while!

its been pretty hit and miss for me to be honest. ONe day a work round will work..then it wont. The same skirt one day is fine, then the next not..its pretty annoying really. Ive literally got HUNDREDS of skirts for all sorts of designers..and now cant trust that they will work or STAY working (yes, sometimes they just go poof when im out and about lol)

Um am i being totally stupid..but i thought the simone *fix* was a prank? I wore it and it was some sort of humorous sign? (loved the Hoff gun she also sent out btw lolol)

Ive been a jeans girly lately....that aint so bad !

The rebake workaround does work if you have patience, but, it is also risky. Teleporting and relogging can cause the skirt to disappear. Depending on the outfit and the situation, that can be a lousy situation.

Lately I've stuck with jeans or prim skits with glitch pants.

New workaround: Take off all huds before wearing system (slider) skirts.

From: Zen Linden
Hi folks,

So I finally had some time to look at this again. I think it's a rendering issue where we weren't setting glColorMask to the proper state during the baking of the skirt texture (or for any of the other baked textures for that matter) and this would also explain some of the randomness. I've also found that wearing a HUD exacerbates the problem, which would make sense if we're not cleaning up well after hud rendering.

I'm testing a fix right now that looks promising, and will let you know how progress goes.

For now a workaround might be to take off any HUDs you have, put on your clothing, make sure it bakes, then put on the HUD.

I apologize for how long this bug has been around. It seemed to occur starting in 1.18.6, right when we started not cleaning up glColorMasks well.

Me and friend both bought a skirt outfit. hers was red, mine was black. she could wear hers, but mine would roll up like i was wearing a belt instead lol. I just read this forum and took off my HUD attatchments like the above mentioned. and i put on the skirt then put the HUD AO back on. and i can finally see my new skirt ! I now hope this works with all the rest of my skirts.

Think about us poor chaps who wear kilts in the highland fashion - leaving us only a sporran to cover our embarrassment.

Some good news on this. Acording to the JIRA, they have found out how to fix this, and the fix is comitted to appear in a future client. Either 1.21 or the one after that, apparently... They know how to fix it, but getting that fix into the client is a low priority.

Great news! Of course, if all 322 people who voted for this critical bug were to show up at bug triage (Mondays, noon, http://slurl.com/secondlife/Hippotropolis/241/27/23/?&title=Hippotropolis+Meeting+area)

or Benjamin's office hours (Thursday 3:00, http://slurl.com/secondlife/Beaumont/148/155/46/?title=Linden%20Village)

maybe the priority would go up!

Office hours always seemed ridiculous to me, why would everyone who has an interest be available at the time they choose? A forum is a much better place to communicate things, rather than closing out 23 hours of the day!

Anyway, and speaking of which ;), from http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2778...

Also, if anyone is running open source, I could post a patch if you all want to check out the fix and see if it works for you. Let me know if anyone's interested.
Please add a post to that Jira to let them know getting a patch sooner would be fabulous! :)

I really wish skirts would work

I've been neglecting my skirt outfits because of this; and it's bugging me no end. I really wanted to make a victorian slip to go with a prim dress, but why bother?

grrrr.
