What "we" want is irrelevant. It isn't our grid/world. Each user makes his/her part of it what s/he wants it to be, and it's none of our business how other people use it, as long as it doesn't cause problems for people.

ya very true..i mean since i don't go to clubs or work or own them really all that much anymore i never see them anymore..

to say the truth since cam and voice have gotten so popular with them i see a lot less of them now than before..

i think they are either going to cam or quitting because they see if you don't have voice or cam you cannot compete in that market anymore..
that's just a guess but i think it makes sense..

i don't see them when i go shopping as much as i used to that's for sure..

as long as they are not around me dropping adds or bugging my friends for work when we are out having fun..to each their own..

So by your reasoning it should be our business? Because it does cause problems.

No. By my reasoning it is none of our business because what people do privately is their own business and doesn't cause us any problems.

I think it does cause us problems. It causes harassment to all the females who aren't engaged in prostitution. But it's not such a huge amount of harassment that would warrant any great effort to stop it.

I guess it's relative, what one views as harrassment. In the nearly 2 years I've been on SL, I've had one brand new guy, fresh off the presses, approach me and ask me 'You want sex'? (On my own sim, where I was working on a building, minding my own business) I said 'No, go away'. And he did. Annoying, yes, as he momentarily distracted me but harrassment, no. Other than that, never had anybody even ask me about it.

I don't accept that females are harrassed for sex. Some may be approached occasionally but it doesn't constitute a problem that makes it any of *our* business. Sorry.

Mmmmm SL & masturbation is o.k. :D (oh heck yes)

The issue is doing it on cam and voice for $$ :)

If I got paid to wank off on webcam..... I'd own several dozen sims by now :D

Trust me women are. I have been asked for sex told them no they ask again i tell them not interested i mute they follow and i see they are still asking by the reactions of others.
Men will ask how much do you charge or are you a escort ( come on they are hookers not escorts) so it does effect us. Many hang out in the free sex places or in clubs trying to take business from those places. Have a ad board put our pic there go stand on a street but guys we are not all focused on sex trust me

I have no doubt that females are approached sometimes, Wind, but I don't accept that they continually harrassed to the extent that someone could even think "do we want this on the grid". I know many females in SL and I'd know if it was a real problem.

I am a female and trust me some of us do get hassled, at times i feel maybe escorts should be like many other things kept in their RP area such as clubs or brothels. To the guys out there not all women want sex in here others dont want sex with strangers. Accept no means no or read a persons profile before you ask.

If i was in sex areas ok ill deal with being asked but in clubs and shops ?

some clubs will hire them as part of their income..most will have some way of telling you..like note card or on a board..
if they don't then complain to one of the employees and they more than likely will tell them to stop harassing you..
if you are in a store and they are spamming you.AR them..

The annoying part about that business is rather not those doing the job. For most of the part it's their customers who become a problem. I have been living next to a "professional" for several weeks now. He (or she, changes gender as needed) is really kind and friendly and doesn't get into anybodies way. But the clients / customers? I had three incidents that I consider really annoying in that time: First: several naked people originating from his/her house flew all around my place, didn't say a word, but stared. They ignored me even when I addressed them. Had to turn on security and TP them all home. Second: came home, found people fucking in my living room (no excite-enabled furniture or so) They ran, back to his/her house. Third: A client kept shouting spanish profanities for about an hour all around the neighbourhood while screwing him/her. Was annoying like hell. Solution? I moved. Neither the "professional" nor the landlord felt like caring about the issue.
