Dont pay any attention to Pep. He invites comment. When you are young and beautiful, people like Pep get grumpy. He's getting to "that age", as my Nanna would say. Mind you, I kinda agree with him about weddings and stuff. I stay away from them in real. Next there will be invitations to "Birthing Parties" or some such nonsense. Anyway, living in sin is much more fun.  Really a wedding here is just a game on a grand scale. Partnering is sensible - a friend - but getting hitched is kinda weirdly morbid I think. Especially those huge dresses which remind me of funeral homes. *LOL* @ 'birthing parties'. No thanks. I attended one, once, the one giving birth was me. (RL, not SL, no prim kidlets here). That one was enough. |

Thank Mickey for your supportive words. Key and others, thanks to you for your positive comments. For the record, a lot of men heterosexual and non-heterosexual are very much involved in the wedding planning process and want it just as perfect as the bride. There are many reasons to have a formal sl wedding ceremony as there many reasons not too. Again, it is one's choice. I guess what surprised me the most and caused sadness was reading the backlash about having formal ceremonies. Personally, there are a lot of activities that people engage in that I don't agree with. I can post my opinion regarding their choices but I don't as it is not for me to judge them. To each is own. It appears a double standard is emerging. It is OK for some to be judgemental, discouraging, sacrastic and ridicule others over THEIR choice. But heaven forbid if those same people are judged, discouraged. and ridiculed. They will be waving their "its my sl" flag and come out swinging in the forum. Sable, it's just opinions. If I was going to do it, I'd want a wedding and would be standing at your door when you arrived online, begging you to plan it. Some people just aren't good at that sort of thing, I am one, and those are the people who will always be around to breathe a sigh of relief that there's folks like you who are good at planning, and making the visuals come to life. If I didn't have money, I'd ask if you'd take payments, or if there were any skills I might have to swap to help out my bill. I know you work with people and there are ways to get around the mighty Linden dollars. Take heart, my friend, there's still a market for your skills/talent. You're a nice, kindhearted person, that's got to still mean something, even in SL. |

Yes I did have a melt down. yes I had many friends that by gosh made it beautiful. Our world our imagination so to speak. Oh and have been to funeral too. PPS to the OP please do not take a class on the day of the wedding to calm your nerves you may end up with a deranged rabbit lol. Dont ask just trust me on that. _____________________
