From: Pserendipity Daniels Will a translation of this post be available later? Pep (Actually, don't bother.) As you know me - I am very lazy. I change my statements like you change your underpants. P(ee)p (one time a month)

Just got to start being very cautious about who gets in your friends list.
I have 1 person in mine, and see no reason it should be larger. I'll give a lot of people my card per se, but they're not getting friend unless I want to chat with them constantly whenever we're both on.
Guess that wouldn't help me with greenlife, but it does make it a lot easier for me socially to explain to people why I don't want them bugging me. "I know you, I like you, but not like that."

From: Pserendipity Daniels I'm inside my house; I can dress or not as I like. Nudity is not allowed on PG land, and hiding it behind a prim ("in your house" doesn't change that rule. So, people can TP to the sim you are in, cam to your location on whatever parcel you're standing, and then Abuse Report you for showing too much skin. (Unless you're in a Mature region, in which case it's OK, as long as there is no sex going on. Then it has to be an Adult parcel.) Welcome to the future.

I was (fairly obviously) talking about real life. Pep (Do you have a problem distinguishing between the two? ) PS Perhaps you should ask Ava where she intends going for her English Comprehension 102 and join her?

Well you know what, I been droped into a PG land naked a few times and let me tell you it wasn't my fault it was in fact LL fault for whatever reason it went down or I was relocated from my set home location to a hub.... we are all nude under our prims...

From: Brenda Connolly You can choose not to answer the door, like I do every saturday morning when a certain group of proselytizers come a calling. They can't cam through the walls and see you are home, however. You know what is funny, I never answer my door to these people.. hiding in my bedroom untill they leave.. But one day I happend to and met this woman louis, an elderly woman and such a lovely woman we would talk at least once or twice a month for a few years when she came to give me her lil bookie. We spoke of her family and mine and the world and things such as that and I got to know her very well and she me.. It saddens me now i had not seen her in a few months and I just recently found out she passed away..... She was a wonderful woman and I am glad I opened the door that one time. (I still hide though) but anyway.... I hate i twhen people sneak up on me the only one who has rights to know where I am is my partner.

Pep (Do you have a problem distinguishing between the two? ) PS Perhaps you should ask Ava where she intends going for her English Comprehension 102 and join her? Perhaps you would benefit from a course in written English communication skills, so that your "obvious" discussions about real life in the Second Life forums would be more clear to people. You may wish to reflect on how perspicuous your ramblings are in light of how you seem to have confused at least several people with them.

If there have been any historical problems of comprehension they have been primarily with the ESLers, overemotional "females" who over-react to my NLP-charged posts, and the odd (very odd in some cases) smartass who has been outwitted. Usually slow-witted people who don't understand my posts, or misunderstand them, don't expose themselves to ridicule as you have by making their inadequacy public by posting about it. Pep (Hands up anyone else that thought I was following on Brenda's post about rl with one about sl?)

From: Feldspar Millgrove ... perspicuous ... From: Pserendipity Daniels (Hands up anyone else that thought I was following on Brenda's post about rl with one about sl?) perspicuous??? Not many English as a First Language (at least not in the US) would know that one (counting me, had to look it up). And Pep: sitting on my hands.

From: falney Finney I have, quite frankly gotten very fed up with people using the greenlife function where they can just port to me as if they had "see my location" enabled (As long as they are in the same sim) I can do that with my emdash. Very useful feature, for example when shopping with someone and losing track of them, or when driving and having lost a passenger due to lag. I can even send a transporter beam to them and have them port themselves to my location. There is nothing wrong with that. Even just by camming around you can see who is on the same sim.

Unless LL changed the way things work, there is a well-known way to locate anyone on the grid regardless of any privacy settings. They don't have to be in the same sim, and you don't have to know what sim they are in. They can be anywhere, and it will find them. Then you can TP to them and stalk them. (Supposedly the TP works regardless of parcel access lists or banlines, but I have never seen that part demonstrated.) Some third-party viewers have incorporated this feature. Does this viewer do that, too; is that what people are complaining about?
It's a given that anyone can find you if you're in the same sim, and I thought everyone realized that. That this thread has gone on at such length makes me wonder if people are referring to the "find 'em anywhere" feature, instead.

Oh how I wish they could!!!!!! I would give them a show worth seeing and would make them question their choice in religion

But now for the serious reply...............
Sorry OP but no sympathy from this corner. If your friends are doing this then you are not a very good judge of character. Been here longer then you and never had this problem with my friends.
As for GL, IT ROCKS!!!!!!! Now that alternative viewers are adding in the ability to see all agents in simulator, it is about time LL added llAgentsInSim. It would take an unnecessary load off of the simulators. What are the percentage of users who have sensors going 100% of the time they are in world and even worse, have not only 96 meter sensors running 24 hours a day in their homes? Some also use whole sim radars which are huge resource drains.
I have a great deal of admiration for all of the 3rd party developers and the great work they do. But Nexii's Vertical Life and now Thomas's and LGG's Green Life viewer have made huge leaps forward. I would suggest everyone take it for a test drive.

There i was floating at 2000m in our sim, and someone appeared via GreenLife teleport right next to me...and i was not in the mood to talk or be around anyone, hence my reason floating at 2000m alone.
People exercising poor judgment with these type of GreenLife/MystiTool, and other tools are really going to cause some negative feedback.
I have said I do not mind people dropping in on me - but when I am alone, hovering at 2000m, I am alone for a reason. If am standing in the Promiscuous Mansion or on land somewhere or any other physical place, then i expect visitors. When i am hovering at 2000m alone....not so much.
ETA: Oh, and when they appeared i logged to avoid.
