Sorry, it was a pretty obscure reference, but Brenda got it. I think.
Maybe I should have said: "Voodoo Bamboo, I thought you were dead."

At CyberExtruder, we recognize the each client will have different requirements so we will be as flexible as possible to accommodate your schedules needs. Normally, an appointment can be set with as little as three days notice. The lab's rate is $150 per hour with a 2 hour minimum. Volume discounts for longer engagements are negotiated on a case by case basis..... this doesn't pertain to the SL stuff they do, I went and tried it out, it is actually very quick, and interesting too such as with everything else in SL some will like it some will not now I am wondering if bashing starts on this product here in the forums (as usually does happen to anything in these forums) would that be a tos violation, since it is obvious just from searching a small amount, who the owners of this is. the forums tos is so hard to make sense of sometimes, so many grey areas, sometimes it is easier to just not say anything hehe _____________________

Dunno, but the thought of seeing someone's RL face on their avatar creeps me out immensely.

the only thing that would creep me out, is if someone's RL face looked like their avatar and their avatar was a furry...
the avatar looking like the RL, I do not find that creepy, I think it is actually really cool and to have that kind of self esteem, to put your own face on your avatar, I wish I had it (yes I said I tried this cyberextruder thing, but I did not say I used my face hehe) the possibilites are endless what if someone wanted to reenact a movie, or skit from a movie and use the actors or... look alikes, what a way to do it. or music bands in SL that want their avatar to look like the members of the band... _____________________

yes, this is the one at Avatar Island
09-21-2007 10:48
Just looked it up. Yes, these folks have been at Avatar Island (the place where last time I looked you could get baby AVs too, ew) for a while. From the article at 3pointD.com:
Cranial Tap have constructed »Avatar Island« around a central hub housing the CyberExtruder facility, about which a cluster of other vendors, offering complementary avatar products, is arrayed. ... CyberExtruder are looking for best-of-breed vendors to share the island, with the intention of offering the ultimate “pimp my avatar” experience. Vendor participation is by invitation only. At present CyberExtruder have only this one outlet, but are now looking at the development and deployment of vending machines across the Second Life grid. They are also looking at other virtual worlds, but feel it is too early to comment further at this stage. |

I don't want my avatar to look exactly like me in RL. I've worked up a sort-of-like me, but much better looking and way better hair version of me that I like. People don't cross the street when they see it; women don't pick up their children and glower at me in SL. I don't get chased by villagers with pitchforks and torches. It feels good. I think I'll keep it this way, thanks.

Speaking of RL, I'm waiting for CyberExtruder to make a plug-in so my RL self can be made to look my AV ... and change me when my AV puts on a new shape and skin ... *taps foot impatiently*
Well? where is it? |

Hey I am all for this. Id love to know what some of these Losers look like that come on to me. That way next time Rico Suave rolls up I can have a good laugh before he even opens his mouth.
