I SEE WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!! I own the left foot, and I offered it at L$399 Your price of L$650 for the right one is a clear example greedy speculation and an insidious underlying footism. The left foot has an equal right to respect and pricing! In fact, I'd go further and say that the left foot is somewhat superior. What happens when an army marches? Does it go Right-Left, Right-Left??? Right? Sorry, you've both been scammed. I still have both my feet, soul, and sense of humor (whats left of it) WITH a certificate of authenticity for each. Lessons learned. |

Nuvi, one thing I learned from my "bite" experience. I never have been asked to be bitten again. So, if nothing else look at it as if you now immunity from future bites.

Oh, and on a complete unrelated note, that has absolutely NOTHING to do with anything else I've posted in this thread (honest!), here's an interesting web site:
http://www.temptations-club.com/aboutsl.php Actually . . . another scary thing. You can call up the profiles of the patrons of this club directly from their web page. And IM them from there. Really useful tools that sure do facilitate the job of blackmailing them! ![]() _____________________

I got bitten several months ago and I forget how the vamp got me-I don't think I consciously volunteered though. Probably something similar to the OP's experience.
I found it vaguely annoying and took it as a reminder to pay more attention to my requests. The whole, "I own your soul" thing means about as much to me as, "I've got your nose" meant when I was two. |

Funny, I see it more as you being careless and lazy. If you had read what you were clicking, you wouldn't be having this pseudo problem, now would you? You screwed up. Face it and move on. That's unfair. It's possible for a new dialog to pop up just as the user is about to click another one. There may not be enough reaction time to stop the intended click. Mostly I see new dialogs appearing behind existing ones, which helps, but not always |

Someone sold me their soul at a Linden Office Hour in 2007. I think I still have it in my inventory if you need a replacement.

First... I'm not a newbie (2 years in SL). But thats my point. I don't want to be bothered with thier BL BS. So why should I have to wear anything or pay anything? _____________________

I understand its crap to anyone outside Bloodlines. Its just HOW he did it... for a a stupid RP game I could care less about. Joke all you want. Its a personal violation. An issue of ethics... something some of you will not understand. FYI: The potion frees your soul, but doesn't remove you from their listing. A friend gave me a garlic necklace. You wear it, and activate it. Once done, you are removed from the Bloodlines database. They are going to need a huge pile of ass-hats around here. I agree it was unethical. But, taking it out on forumites probably won't help anyone. How he did that was a scam, and an insult to actual roleplayers and vampires in Second Life. How you were treated when you went there looking for help was not any better. Just one of the many reasons people often post 'no Bloodlines' on their land. By the way. Letting the owner of the shop this happened in know, is one thing you could do. Just in case they care. |

Life isn't fair. Irrelevant, you're switching the context without basis. The fairness or unfairness of life in general has no bearing on responsibility in any specific situation. Perhaps it would be clearer to you if I'd merely said your previous conclusion was false, instead of calling it unfair. She/he made the mistake. No, the mistake was made by the UI designer who created a situation in which mouse clicks didn't match a reasonable user's intent. You're driving down the highway at 2am at the posted speed limit of 65mph, in an area that has an average of one moose sighting every two years. A moose runs in front of your car, and the time until impact is much less than the average reaction time for a person to see the moose and hit the brake or steer around it. As a result, the moose goes through your windshield, killing you. Did you make a mistake by not stopping or driving around the moose? Or by choosing to drive under these circumstances? |

I've been told once or twice I'm in their stupid database. A stupid 'newbie' mistake. I thought it was some nerd playing a harmless joke, and said yes to get rid of him.
It does not stop people from offering to pull you in deeper. Whatever a "liege" is, I don't want one. If I wanted to play a vampire I'd do that without a pyramid scheme. So, being bitten does not stop the requests. I don't know if the necklace does either. Why can't they get it through their head people don't want to be bothered? |

I have a bargain: I'll give you your soul back for only L$50. It may still appear on Bloodlines lists, but that's of no consequence: you'll have your soul back!

I have a rather busty friend that left her bra at my house from last year's after-Thanksgiving party. We hug the bra on the christmas tree as a joke. It was there for a couple of weeks before she noticed it. ![]() I keep the soul of that guy who ruined "Alien: Resurrection" in a jar. Always remember to keep a backup copy of your soul. |
