Last evening was interesting. I had someone come up to me (a friend of a friend) and tell me that my soul had been taken. Since I am not a Bloolines player, I had no clue what she was referring too. She sent me a copy of the a message saying my soul was in "limbo" and who bit me. I'm very upset by this.
Now, in my profile it clearly states "NO VAMPIRES (Don't even think of Biting me!)".
She said I must have agreed to it for my soul to have been taken. I contacted the person who "bit me" and asked when he did it, he had no clue and didn't care because I said yes to being bit. I never had a conversation with him before.
I start asking around at the Bloodlines sim about this. Funny, when you are "food" they ignore you. One kind BL player helped me out. I find out that I need a "Wormwood Potion" to restore my soul... $239L What a scam! I have to pay to get my soul back and off their stupid bitten list?
Also, I did a check of my chat logs. It seems this vampire ambushed me 2 weeks ago. I was at a store with prize chairs and when my letter came up I sat down to collect the prize. It seems he "bit me" right before my prize was delivered, so instead of clicking KEEP my prize, I clicked YES to him instead without knowing. Sneaky little SOB.
Why is it that non Bloodlines players have to buy crap to stay out of their game (garlic, charms, etc.)? You should be exempt until you join a group or register with them.
In short, I want my $239L back! What can be done?

From: Nuvi Tigerpaw Why is it that non Bloodlines players have to buy crap to stay out of their game (garlic, charms, etc.)? Non-bloodlines players don't have to pay anything. In fact, I think that they (we) just laugh at it all. So someone feels that he's got your soul. So?

/me hears there are souls for sale on eBay. Have you checked there? Might be able to find one at a better price.

Isn't there a free garlic necklace, instead of the wormwood potion? I thought the potions were for people who actually wanted to play the stupid game. I think if you wear that necklace momentarily, nobody ever needs to know that you once accidentally accepted some fake vamp's phoney "bite".
Or ignore it until some Bloodlinesucker tries to talk to you about it; it gives you an excuse to tell them off.

L$239 is a small price to get a soul back.
People who have lost/misplaced their souls often experience the following: - Lag - Bad sim crossngs - TP failure - Inventory loss - Boots in the ass
To avoid having your soul taken again, wear an attachment that looks like a lot of crosshairs around you. The vamps think that lots of people are looking at you, and pass you by for fear of being witnessed in the act.

First... I'm not a newbie (2 years in SL).
But thats my point. I don't want to be bothered with thier BL BS. So why should I have to wear anything or pay anything? Why should I have to jump through hoops NOT to be included? Don't get me wrong, when I am asked, I politlely say no thanks, or "see my profile". There is something wrong with the system when people get dragged into an RP without knowing, I could care less about being asked. But when someone tells me "my soul is owned by..." without my knowledge or permission. That pisses me off!

And, the best thing? No vamp will EVER bother you again!

Sling... your humor is not appreciated. Its a violation... simple as that.
Make things worse, I spent the $239L on the potion to get my soul back, and I get told by my friend my soul is still in limbo. What a friggin' scam!
Where is this SOUL LIST and how do I see it?

OK, some podunk little corner of SL has a little game/scam they are playing which stuck your name in their database. If you don't PLAY that game, who cares?
If I stuck your name in MY database, and charged you L$5000 to remove it, would you pay it? What if I didn't offer the option to remove it at all? How many scammers will it take for you to realize that you don't have to pay ANYTHING?
They make money on people who THINK that they have lost control of something that no one can "own". So, why do you care? Caring just leads you to loss of money and loss of control, neither of which are necessary to continue being a part of Second Life.
Just ignore it, and put anyone who gives you any grief over it on your ignore/mute list after telling them off (which is optional, btw).

You can only lose your soul if you sign a contract with a gold pen that has been dipped in an ink made of your blood. Did you do that? If not, you have no worries.

From: Nuvi Tigerpaw Sling... your humor is not appreciated. Its a violation... simple as that. Well, I thought it was pretty funny. All that happened was somebody saying "I have Nuvi's soul." That's it. There's nothing more to it. BTW, I've acquired your right foot on eBay. You can buy it back from me for only L$650. From: Brenda Connolly Is that how you were able to log into the blogorum as Winter yesterday? !!

From: Nuvi Tigerpaw Where is this SOUL LIST and how do I see it? There's probably still a search function somewhere on http://www.slbloodlines.com/ if it's really necessary to look. I think their lame HUD also shows something about the status of people in sensor range or something like that. You should probably be aware that we're all a little punch-drunk over Bloodlines, having explored the topic (such as it is) at great length and acrimony, probably about a year ago. Conclusion: They suck. Blood, for sure; consensus was not reached regarding other bodily fluids.

The Bloodlines database is rather silly and, of course, utterly meaningless to anyone who isn't playing the game. Somewhat more frightening is a club mentioned on the official SL blogs a week or so ago, that has a website featuring the names of those currently there, and the "Top 20 Recent Visitors." As this is a strip club, there is some potential for real damage to someone's reputation from this site. And, of course, its potential use to stalkers is obvious. As a case in point, I checked out the web site for this club last week, and discovered the name of a very well-known poster here among the "Top 20" visitors . . .

Stuff like that might be one reason to have canned gestures ready. So, when a some fool with illusions of vampirism gets in your face you...
/me calls up her friend Buffy and together the beat the living snot out of you, ridicule your emo-looking avatar and then drive a stake through your heart. For L500 we will turn your pathetic pile of dust back into whatever it is you think you are now.

If you are going to take a belligerent stance here then start passing out asshats..you are gonna need plenty...we only get serious when there is pie involved...you mess with the pie you die...simples
