Wait, there are posters here who are worried about their reputation?

Well, there's only one way to find out!

How much do you think I should charge? :D

You can only lose your soul if you sign a contract with a gold pen that has been dipped in an ink made of your blood. Did you do that? If not, you have no worries.

I don't always use a gold pen.

I understand its crap to anyone outside Bloodlines. Its just HOW he did it... for a a stupid RP game I could care less about. Joke all you want. Its a personal violation. An issue of ethics... something some of you will not understand.

FYI: The potion frees your soul, but doesn't remove you from their listing. A friend gave me a garlic necklace. You wear it, and activate it. Once done, you are removed from the Bloodlines database.

They are going to need a huge pile of ass-hats around here.

Funny, I see it more as you being careless and lazy. If you had read what you were clicking, you wouldn't be having this pseudo problem, now would you? You screwed up. Face it and move on.

I have a rather busty friend that left her bra at my house from last year's after-Thanksgiving party. We hug the bra on the christmas tree as a joke. It was there for a couple of weeks before she noticed it. :p

I understand how you feel. I mean I tried not to care at all, but I do a little too. Even if I mentally know it is a stupid little game and means nothing if I am not playing, emotionally it feels like your being swindled if they use you in thier game without permission. Even worse that they used some cheap trick. I think there is some value in realizing the tricks there are using. It helps others avoid the same thing.

Most people here I think have just decided to deal with the situation with humor. Try not to take it too personally. In the big picture these bloodline pests are a small irritation.

And where is your permanent ass-hat?

You were silly enough to buy that potion that just shuffles your name into a different database of theirs and YOU're calling people names? That's rich.

:D

Edit: For your information, the garlic necklace does not remove you from their database. It just tucks your name away into yet another database.

As a case in point, I checked out the web site for this club last week, and discovered the name of a very well-known poster here among the "Top 20" visitors . . .

Could have been me :D If the top 20 actually only states the previous 20 that is. I spent a couple of hours in Zidra last week. I visited four or five "clubs" in that time frame and I was the only customer at two of them. Only one club had more than one dancer on stage.

All kidding aside, I empathize with you. My sl vampire brother asked could he bite me and on a lark I said ok. About a year later, someone was "scanning" me and informed me that my name appeared on the Bloodlines website. I checked and it did. The thing that pissed me off was my sl brother didn't tell me my name will be entered in their database. If I known that, I would've refused.

I just checked their website and after some digging I found me listed. I'm in "grayed out" status. It says I'm in limbo. Oh well...

Here is their website http://www.slbloodlines.com/. If you can figure out who bit you and then see what clan they belong to, then do a search using the name of leader of the clan. Once you have done that, look for the biter's name then click on that and it will list names of persons that he/she bit.

Like I said, I understand how you feel, try not to let it upset you. Chalk it up to a lesson taught. Take your time when clicking those blue boxes that appear at te upper right corner of your screen. Don't purchase any of their products. Eventually, your name will appear in "grayed out" status.

I get how you feel Nuvi, and yeah it was sneaky how it was done. Double check your info though, about the garlic necklace. It's my understanding from a Bloodlines 'king' that the necklace works, only if one has never been bitten. (I hadn't, and so I used it and so far so good, no bite requests). He told me that when you are scanned by a vampire, after using the necklace, they get a message that you have opted out of being 'prey' (like I ever opted in?) and they are not allowed to proceed against you. Now, as I had never been bitten when I used it, my name wasn't in the database. Be sure that is how you get it out, by using the necklace. They are free all over the place or I can send you one. Ugly as hell, big ole bulb of garlic, but you just wear it and then remove it.

Other thing is; I wear a vampire hud, to detect people with possible intentions of preying on new residents on Virtual Ability or on Cape Able. You'd be surprised (or maybe not) at the people showing up as vampires, who didn't have any idea how they got that way and weren't the least bit interested in the RP.

Nuvi,

Look, we all understand how you can feel annoyed by this. But it's that very annoyance over what is really a non-problem that's making people laugh and point at you.

First of all, you got very skillfully gamed by that well timed bite request. Gotcha!

Second, you got conned into paying money for a useless potion. Gotcha again!

Face it. You've been foolish, twice.

Here's how to handle it: Ignore it. Having your name in the database of a game you aren't even playing means NOTHING to you, or it shouldn't.

There is nothing you can do about it anyway. The Lindens won't be bothered with this, the Blooodlines people can't be "brought to justice" for treating you badly, and so ranting about it in this forum is making you look foolish again. Gotcha...

And then you used a garlic necklace that put you in their "Do Not Bite" database.

Never been bit that I know of and I've searched their site. Guess my brush with a distorter animation taught me rather well. Now I always check that farking blue screen before pushing ANY buttons. ;)

The folks on the forums here actually have more ethics than you might realize, but the majority of the interwebz has none.

BTW, I've acquired your right foot on eBay. You can buy it back from me for only L$650.

I SEE WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!!

I own the left foot, and I offered it at L$399
Your price of L$650 for the right one is a clear example greedy speculation and an insidious underlying footism.

The left foot has an equal right to respect and pricing!

In fact, I'd go further and say that the left foot is somewhat superior.
What happens when an army marches? Does it go Right-Left, Right-Left???

Right?
