Hi guys! I did some searches and came across how to meet people in second life, but finding lists of places to go wasn't easy. I have heard enough from you guys to know that you have a lot of information to share, and I was wondering if you could do that for me. Can each person list 5-10 top things to do/places to go on SL? and maybe explain why you like them. I would like to see a lot of different answers- I saw on a previous thread the Titanic, and the cruise ship. That was good- Now where else can I go and have fun and explore? Thanks for your time!

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things. Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut. |

hmmm...
Caletta's Hobo Info Hub and Docks- great freebies made by smart weirdos- sometimes said weirdos are around to chat with Koreshan Pointe- nifty, imaginative and goofy seaside carnival Brooklyn is Watching- fascinating art/sandbox/installation thingie- anyone can play! Carnival of Doom- is creepy and I like it... let's hope havoc didn't break it Crescent Moon Museum- always changing exhibits of SL art Le Zoo- make sure to visit the Bat Cave Toxian, Midian City, The Wastelands or City of (Fallen? Lost?) Angels- because everyone should look at some dark urban roleplay at some point Ramonia- garden of interactive sound sculpture Chakryn Forest- 'cause it's pretty. probably more I should remember, but that's a start. |

the ivory tower is a load full of info about building, oh and check out the particle lab as well if you want to see and learn about particles
![]() Have you ever been to the arcades in RL that are usually connected to pizza places, geared around kids... the kind where you get tickets from the games and exchange them for prizes? well my arcade is just like that, grab a ticket roll when you go in and wear it then play the games and earn tickets, then exchange those for the silly prizes available hehe (and all for free, the games are free the ticket roll is free, no fee to get in etc) people ask me why do I do it for free.... well... because it is fun!! ![]() If I think of more places I will post _____________________

What are your interests? There is so much stuff around in SL now that it would help to specify a little. It's like asking what is there to do in Manhattan or Las Vegas? What isn't there to do in Manhattan or Las Vegas?
If you just want a random smattering of interesting, well, you have a very good start. |

I would recommend these places:
Dublin - amazing builds The van gogh site - i forget the name - where his paintings are recreated in 3d Bliss Gardens yard sales! - i love to go and see a great cross section of all kinds of creations and then tp to the creator's stores...that is how i find alot of the cool stuff Etopia - ok i HAD to say it...two sims that are a model of a sustainable eco village with biz, residential, natural spaces, a ton of things to do...and ask me for a tour if you come by! _____________________

If the list you get here isn't enough, you can browse posts 71, 72, and 73 here:
/327/04/202439/3.html The list doesn't have some of the newer sims, but does have descriptions of some very cool places. . |

I think Trout means Lost Gardens of Apollo. That's it - my mistake. Forgive him, he has Hanging Gardens on his mind lately. Ahh...erm...soooooo...what have you heard, exactly? I'm not admitting to anything, and neither is the unnamed individual who may or may not be involved in a project involving hanging gardens...depending on what you are alleging that you heard or didn't hear from a clearly uninformed source. _____________________

The van gogh site - i forget the name - where his paintings are recreated in 3d Virtual Starry Night (and do a search on YouTube for Robbie Dingo. The video called Watching the World (i think that's the name) show's him building it set to music.) _____________________

1. Amour Amusement Park - A great place to spend time at, my friends and I had a lot of fun
there. I got a kick out of the bumper cars and the race track. 2. Greenies Home - Fantastic place to go see, be sure to go up on the bottle rocket to the club and get your UFO to fly around in. Just don't go outside the sim, lol. You fly back down to ground level and through the phantom ceiling. 3. Grendel's Children- The underground tunnel maze. A friend and I were looking for waterfalls and found them underground. One was an entrance to three tunnel entrances. Very impressive build and well worth seeing. 4. View Mexico - Want to see recreations of Mayan ruins, then this is the place to go. The landowners are working to expand their sims and this will add to the atmosphere. The views are among some of the best I've seen. There is a tour butterfly you can ride too. Relax and take a stroll down to the beach after looking at the ruins. 5. Eco Village - I'm pretty sure that is the name. I do remember that it has a waterfall too, you can find it in Search by looking for waterfalls. You can ride either the rail car or the gondola to take a tour of the sim. The whole sim was a pleasure to look around at. |

Excuse the mess of my above posting. It didn't look anywhere that bad when I first typed it out. I have no idea how it got to be that jumbled looking.

The snail races at Montmartre are a laugh, Saturdays, 7pm SLT.
Also the Dresden Art Gallery. One of the best art galleries in SL. For sheer immersion Kowloon is amazing. Babbage is lovely if you like steampunky stuff. It's a bit grubbier than Caledon but for some reason I prefer it. If I ever earn enough in world to pay tier I'm going to open a travel agents. |

Just a mention for Numbakulla, as no one has mentioned it yet. A few things aren't working so well since the update, we're fixing those as quickly as possible.

The particle laboratory is great if you want to learn how to add particles to the things you learn to build at ivory tower, and be sure to take a balloon trip to the firework show there its amazing
