Darkwood is a beautiful quiet relaxing place to walk around or to go on a date.

I've been going back to Tableu a few times. If it's people you're after, run an event search for "live" or "concert".... Truly live events almost always flood a sim with fun and talkative people. (^_^)

3. Grendel's Children

This is in the Avaria sims. The shop is great, there's some neat places to explore in the sky (bonus points to those who find Pillogryff Heaven!), and ground level is some of the prettiest open space you'll find in SL

4. View Mexico

I think that's "Visit Mexico," but I could be wrong.

A few more to add: I'm gonna try to not repeat others...

--

Islands:
Alllll the places named above. Also:

Livingtree
yes, I'm a part of it, but that doesn't mean I can't say how much I like it. It's a pleasant place to me

Pillow Talk
Store in the sky, and pretty down at ground level.

Sailor's Cove
Great place for sailing and sightseeing. Especially good at Windlight Ultra.

--

Mainland:
I've been really getting into Mainland lately. In particular:

The Lost Forest of Kharunvel.
Head to Rodeo, and explore. Be sure to check out the village down in Cowell, too. It's fun to launch a boat in Rodeo or Stinson and hit the nearby areas in Mohrr and Kremer, or head up to...

Clementina Park
A bit long in the tooth, but still nice. That and the Governor's mansion are like SL living history

ANWR
Very cool oil platform build. I recommend getting to it by starting in the Mocha sim, catching the GSLR train, transferring to the ferry boat in Purple, and exiting at the ANWR platform. Also good sailign ground. Oh, and speakinf of Mocha...

The Mocha Cahtedral
Really nice build. Also handy for leaving candle for loved ones and absent friends.

Zen Gardens of Achemon
Very peaceful. Best garden of its type since the loss of DharmaEcho Garden

Hedge Maze in Rizal
Fun, and a bit of a challenge

My best friend, Elgyfu Wishbringer, has a lovely sim called Tin Teddy.

There is a lovely village with animals and stuff in it and you can ride a steam train around to explore. It goes under a big castle too where there is a dragon!

There is also a big egypt temple with tombs and stuff that you can explore and the train goes through it too.

And she has just built an amazing ballroom which is all in the style of Louis XIV and you can do any Bits and Bobs dance anywhere you want in it.

I am biased because I am her friend, lol, but it really is very nice and lots to see and do.

If you want to see the best of the best--the most talented modeler and export genius in SL--there is only one place you have to go:

Black Swan

The guy behind it is Light Waves--who incidentally is the same cat behind the Greenies.

Everything has been really great so far, I love hearing your personal opinions about the areas. I have checked out some live events and been very surprised at how much fun they were, and how "real" it felt there. I am going to have a school vacation soon and I have to "lay low", because I have been sick, so I plan on grabbing a friend and going to alot of the places listed.

What???
No one's mentioned Comcastic? You MUST go there. Do NOT push the red button!
The hovercraft race is a bit iffy - resulted in the most spectacular crashes I've suffered yet, and I don't mean crashing the vehicle. But a must-see nonetheless.

My top list (so far) also includes Kowloon and Privateer Space.

One of my fellow Mentors made a "sightseeing HUD"

It's a simple gadget that contains pictures, descriptions, and landmarks for a dozen "must see" places in SL.

I'll see if I can remember to put one in a little vendor and set it up at our harbor marketplace, and maybe a copy at the Hangout.

All these fans of the Carnival of Doom, but no mention of the Devil's Labyrinth? That place'll knock your socks off. It's a maze with different paths and subpaths and puzzles and such - you can go there many times and have a different experience each time. I've made it through in as little as 15 minutes, but one trip took me a little over an hour to finish. VERY creepy!

Gorean Sim

Ice Inlet is one fantastic build...

Ice Inlet is equal to Apollo Gardens in beauty but is more of a castle setting in the snowy mountains. When I first saw it, there were signs that said it was going to be destroyed.
It would be a shame. Help save this build........it is truly awesome!

The fact that it is a Gorean city might intimidate some people, but don an Observer tag and come as a human avie. Just look. Come through the Mountain Pass.
