Age Verified - Not Age Verified

World, Region/Estate, Region tab, (what is the Rating set to?)

World, Region/Estate, Estate tab, (what is the Allow Public access setting set to?)

About Land, Access tab, (what is the parcel Allow Public Access setting set to?)

I can TP to the sim, BUT I cannot get to the NE corner of it. That one parcel does have the "Mature Content" box check, but the message I get is that I am not on the Access List.

I could not find any other parcels on the land that had the Mature Content flag set.

Then, while I was hovering in the air, checking the settings of different parcels, some guy came up and stared at me. I said Hi, he said Hello, and then a few min later I was TPd home. And ignored my IM asking why he did so.

Relogging with a different viewer to see if I get different results (was on with Snow Globe).


ETA: I see that I was checking the wrong settings for this. Back I go -- assuming the guy does not TP me out again.
- - - NO GO, I have apparently been added to the ban list for my transgression of hovering near the one corner than has ban lines up around it.

The sim is mature.



People who aren't estate managers or owners can't see this information, they also can't see ban lists at estate level either.



Allow public access is ticked, block access by residents who are not age verified adults is also ticked, as this appears on all plots I've checked I'd have to assume this has been set at region level.

That parcel is restricted to group access only.

So many people whine about LL shooting first and maybe asking questions later, but I see so many of the so-called "estate manager/watchdogs" doing the same thing.

Yeah they TP'd me home too, the people running that sim are a bunch of twats.

I have been a long time friend so I thought to the Estate Owner...even helped her buy the Island and was Estate Manager for the longest time but, given how much drama is going on over there I stopped going over and today when trying to help them fix their age verification issue I started getting ignored AGAIN. So, I removed them all off my FL and have no association with them anymore as I have given up on trying to be nice and help where I'm not wanted. Just to let it be known. I think if you do both, Age verify AND account verify you may see a change and can get on those sims. If not, I would be contacting the sim owner and find out what you need to get to them. They are losing a lot of business when people can't get to them.

LL needs to just get rid of that "age verified" parcel option altogether.

If you want to manually test this to be absolutely sure you face an age-verification bug, search for the club 'Furvana'

The TP takes you to outside of their age-verify ban line.

Try to walk inside. If you can't, you're screwed.

I can now enter there, I seem to be age-verified finally, even though the webpage for it keeps popping up. On my un-verified alt, I cannot enter - their ban lines are there and visible when you try to walk in, so its a great way to test.

I'm on the Tien Lung sim right now.

I also got into 2 clubs that yesterday I could not enter.

About Land for Tien Lung says:

But Until I hit the NE corner, I was fine. NE corner just says I'm not on access list.

Yesterday Furvana was telling me 'you must be age verified'

- The age verify webpage of secondlife.com still wants me to submit the form, but I seem to have managed to overcome things anyway???

Ok... new alt has problems with Tien Lung and Furvana. Well, I guess somebody heard me and fixed my account somewhere.

To the Original Poster; I don't know what to say now - except to submit a ticket and reference the fact that you've already done manual verification.

I still cannot get to SOME parcels marked for Age Verification BUT can get to others. And best I can tell, it does not ALWAYS tie in with the parcel option of requiring payment info and/or the box labeled 'mature content'.

Good bug, but I would rather start a new Jira to do away completely with this redundant, bug-ridden and ineffective Parcel flag for age verification. The fact that it uses different account verification criteria than that which LL requires for Adult access is unbelievably confusing, and as you point out it has been buggy since 2007. If we need parcel permissions to limit according to account status, then it should be a form of the Adult flag.

Also, age verification via Aristotle seemingly doesn't work for some nationalities, almost forcing users to submit fake verification info.

Would anyone on this thread vote for such a Jira?

Did you restart your viewer after age verifying the new alt?

My account appears to be age verified now, as does an alt which was unverified before this morning.

The age verification page still shows the form for all my accounts now, even the ones that were previously age verified.

Wow - so their 1.23 viewer is still in development? And "Please reopen this ticket and provide me with exact steps I can take" implies that he closed the ticket and if you want to give more info then you can reopen it.

We definitely need to just get rid of that age verify check. I simply posted the JIRA to show the bug and the fact that it has been there forever.
