I think all the things you ask about are fine. I do not know what child-friendly areas you hang out at that have porn, I've never seen any.

K I have no problem with people roleplaying as kids. I mean I really don't understand it, but i don't understand a lot of things I have crossed tracks with in my life. I don't agree with the logic that this is somehow supposed to be accepted at face value and that everyone who does not understand why a, say 40 year old guy wants to play as a 6yo and then not understand why people don't understand his motives.
It's not the kids, it's this mentality that we should all see a 'mother and daughter' or a 'mother with her four darling kids' and somehow relate that to our lives and think, oh what a cute family. Because it's not, it's a random group of midlife adults who for whatever reasons live as kids. Now I am not sure if the level of game play is so lengthy, I imagine dark rooms and lots of cans of soda everywhere, or whatever their reasons. And I play as well. I have a tonne of avies and will always dress the part in whatever sim I am in. Even as an explorer. And I have a great imagination. But I just can't let this one go. But they are definately acting like kids in the forums, I will give them credit for that one. SL5 is going to be an embaressing guirilla take over by screaming bratz, and that is why I am not looking forward to it...at all. |

1b - Fairly often, although I find the line ambiguous.. I've seen small avatars in cute outfits "accused" of being child avatars. Anime characters also tend to look very childish, too.. 1c - ..who play what? "Adult" games? Kinda creepy.. but certainly better than anyone doing such things with REAL children! ...Who dress up as a kid and play on a playground? Nice indulgence of your inner child... I have a child shape and some cute clothes.. and have made some playground stuff.. It's FUN to act like a kid! ...Who are ALWAYS children and wish to be treated that way? Only one I ever ran into and know much about was at a mental health group, who felt "safer" that way.. obviously a mental issue, but seems to me a decent way of dealing with PDSD or other similar issues.. 1d - Children looking like children is how it's SUPPOSED to be.. just not on the ADULT grid. 2a - Does this refer to upright furries, or the neko thing? Tails and ears that people can yank and stuff are just hilarious.. That right there is good reason to wear 'em! 2b - All the time. 2c - Well, I yell at 'em if they have a tail I can't pull... 3a - Kinda spiffy 3b - Bout the same frequency as dragons, dinosaurs, robots, and other costumes... 3c - ..that they're people who prolly paid a lot for, or spent a lot of time designing, a really nifty costume. Shoulda seen my dog beat a flying veloceraptor all over the primtionary arena the other day.. it was hilarious! 4a - The porn-type stuff seems excessive to me, but apparently sells extremely well despite the overabundance... It's a wold where people can do whatever they want, so they do... seems pretty natural to me. 4b - While I see good reason to separate anything explicitly for children from anything explicitly for adults.. The idea of removing adult items from mature areas where adults dressed as children could go sounds like a witch hunt to me.. I think this is so ambiguous.. I've made some playground equipment.. I could see displaying some of it in "child" areas.. that's where people would most likely look for such items.. Does that mean I have to keep everything PG from here on out? I don't even have pictures of children playing on the stuff on the boxes.. just me! And even if that meant everything that I made had to stay PG.. My shop and home are in a mature sim.. I can't control that my neighbors do.. Would that mean I couldn't have my playground stuff for sale in a sim designated mature? It's not even for children.. just for FUN.. same as the hoverboarding arena up in the sky.. SL does show some odd, interesting, and disturbing depths of the mind.. I cute the number of slums built here as a prime example of that.. But the SL adult grid is adult-only for a reason... to try to avoid the legal and moral circus that goes along with sticking kids and adults together. (Check out the mess IMVU is making now with restricting boxer shorts (no pun intended) for a good example of that one..) Overall, aren't child avatars as much a fantasy dress-up game as, say, an Incredible Hulk avatar? Minus the obvious trademark problem with the latter? |

In another thread, you're asking for details about SL5B. Here, you're loading questions against child avatars and mention something that you're "planning" on doing. Given how much child avatars have been put through the wringer, especially lately with the whole SL5B fiasco, your questions in this thread and the other one looks suspiciously like you getting ready for some sort of "crusade" that you plan to launch against child avatars during SL5B. And buddy, that does NOT make people look at you with brotherly love in their hearts.  _____________________

SL Kids are adults doing what they want in SL Furries are adults doing what they want in SL Keep applying that answer all the way down and add the following comment to the end: I don't care what people do in SL as long as they are not hurting others maliciously. I have friends from all avatar wearing walks of life. I only have problems with people that judge them and get self-righteous about how much better they are because they are not freaks like X group. Give me a SL kid, furry, four legged, two legged, etc etc to hang out with any day instead of those people. EDIT to add: That is not a slam at the OP, just my honest feelings on the matter. _____________________
