Why is my chest sudenly so strange?

Why am my chest like this, the picture is taken with midday setting and no facelamp or light source is present. it's not skin related as i tried different skins including the demo skin i have on the picture.

I'm not sure when this happen but i noticed it yesterday, several other people can also see it, so it's not something with my computer. I hope someone can shine some light on this and tell me what is wrong.

I have also tried my main skin on my alt (i'm the maker) and the chest is still the same... please someone help as now i'm resticted to turttle neck tops

they're called boobies. it's normal.

to fix it, go into appearance and set to 'Male'.

Sometimes skin and some clothing will not finish fully loading into memory, rebake (shortcut is CTRL + ALT + R ) your textures and it should clear up. Usually does for me.

Fuck off 2k Suisei, i'm talking about the big color differnce on my chest... it's not like that on my skin source.



MortVent, i tried that... and also tried to clear the cache... to no avail.... and like i say i noticed this yesterday but it might have happen during the last rollout some days ago.

And as now it has been tried on 3 different computers at 2 different locations with the same result.

Do you have any body lights or face lights?

Under graphics setting set it to sun and moon only. And see if that resolves it

the reason I mention changing the setting is there are some hairs and other items with them built in.

SL always makes the chest look concaved and makes shadows liek that. It is the avatar mesh. One thing you can do to fix it a little is up the body fat on the shape. Most of the really skinny shapes in SL have this issue much more prominantly. Another is since you created the skin you could add shadowing to counteact the mesh... but this will only do so much

Yeah, the avatar mesh seems to be designed such that if your shape is female, certain shadows will automatically be painted in certain places regardless of your actual shape. It's kind of a pain I suppose.

Like Eclectic said, I guess you are referring to the shadows on the avatar polygons under Windlight, and the cavity of the upper chest.

That may fix the issue (for you). I use these settings exclusively for working on my skins.

Well....I have to admit when I looked at the pic, I didn't see anything wrong either.....so I thought the boobies comment was funny. (hey, I'm a female and I would have LMAO if someone had rsponded to me that way) But then again I don't take SL that seriously anyway.

Anyway....yeah it's just the normal shading as it applies to the female shape. There's not really much to be done about it.....and it doesn't really look that bad.....face lights help with shading issues like that......and so does adjusting your graphics and atmosphere. The default in windlight is harsh.....but there's plenty of different ways to adjust the lighting that compliment avatars more. I've seen a few skin demos while shopping that were too dramatically shaded but what yours looks like is just shine.....normal skin hi-light and shading. Definitely try a face light tho.....the face shadows are more noticable than the chest coloring.

Since the original post didn't explicitly state what the problem is (it didn't say anything about color difference), I wasn't sure at first either, until I saw the "f-off" reply.

I'm not seeing a huge color difference. Looks pretty normal to me. And yeah, I laughed at 2K's comment as well.

Put some clothes on and you'll never notice it.

I think Linnrenate's talking about the fact that her long hair is showing through her chest. That's a problem with long hair. Any prims you attach to yourself become phantom and they will pass through your body.

I looked at the pic to see what the problem was and my only comment is that they were far too small !!!!
