You get pregnant in SL by either RPing it (and changing your shape to look more pregnant as you go along) or by buying some sort of scripted thing that ends up with a prim baby. Some of them send messages to chat while in the "womb" and that's damn near one of the most annoying and creepiest things I've seen in SL and I've seen quite a lot.

Congratulations, you're well on your way to having a prim baby! Enjoy 3 weeks of pregnancy, followed by an ugly, overly-scripted grouping of prims that feels the need to spam things that noone cares about every 30 seconds. Things like "baby is hungry" or "baby is crying"! Just like really being a parent!

Two avatars (sometimes even opposite gender) meet and fall in love. This takes about three days. Partner. After professing their undying love, they emote wild monkey sex, then the one on the bottom buys a giant 50 prim pregnancy test from Xstreet. If positive, you buy a talking foetus belly and wear it for up to three weeks.

This belly will announce your avatar's every bowel movement, and how many vitamins you must take. This is most important: the more your belly talks, the more it's supposed to creep out the people around you.

Visit inworld clinics so an avatar nurse can crawl up your virtual hoo haw, charge you 500L, and tell you that your "baby" is doing fine.

Three weeks later, go to the clinic, accept Baby Inventory from the nurse, and Voila! You and Hubby and Prim baby make three.

And this is most important: real life paramour needs to find out about pregnancy and fake marriage online, get pissed off, and demand you stop playing the game. Unpartner your partner, stow the baby in inventory, and cry in a corner for a week.

Then go out and partner the next person. Rinse, repeat.

It got bad enough that I ended up turning off scripts for guests at the DCWF at one point just because we had 3 friends of our wrestlers that were pregnant and the chat spam from the talking tummies was just out of control.

Depends entirely on how you do it.

My "Pregnancy" carrying my SL daughter, Reisuki, lasted a full 5 months (which in my opinion is "full term" for a furry species), and involved no scripted stuff to speak of. Conception through birth was via text roleplay, while my appearance matched my "condition". I custom-made 5 successively "more pregnant" shapes based on my original shape, and changed which one I was using based on how many months along I was. When my "due date" came, I obtained two pose balls that allowed me to sit in the right position for holding a baby while nursing, or to stand while holding a baby, and a friend made a swaddled prim furry baby for me that was actually rather cute.

After a month or so of having the prim baby around, in my arms or in a crib, Reisuki started logging in with her own account, using a Tiny avatar. About a year after that, she made a "teenager" form for herself. Now she varies between teenager and young adult forms. My! They grow up so fast!
