I'd interpreted that as meaning that potentially offensive activities were permitted in private. This policy 'clarification,' though, seems to reverse that in the case of avatars' in-character age. I have (as an alternate account) a reasonably faithfully-portrayed character from a novel (which I wrote), coming from a medieval society where the standards were vastly different. It appears, however, that this character is now illegal, because they're fewer than eighteen years old (though of marriageable age back 'home') and the portrayal is accurate to the point of, being a peasant and not a wealthy one at that, they wear a knee-length sackcloth dress and no underwear. Even if I don't commit the crime of standing too close to a dirty picture, that alone would constitute sexual ageplay under the current policy, even in private land or whole sims that are restricted in their entry. All I wanted to be was accurate; now I guess I'm a criminal awaiting account deletion the first time someone disagrees with me and seizes upon the excuse to abuse-report. I don't think you're in any real danger. I think that the ageplay ban is more on the avatars that are obviously children, the ones that look ten and under. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. As it is, LL will have a hard time investigating all the AR's from this, not that they investigate many to begin with. |

i heard 80 percent of the sl kids are in fact adult babies who engage in sexual ageplay of some type You heard wrong, or the information was wrong in the first place. I'd conservatively put that number at, oh, 10% of the kids who are adult babies. Maybe 15% I know when I'm in a crowd of kids, it is rare that any of them will be in those fancy scripted diapers. My suspicion is, too, that a smaller percentage of those who would fall under the "adult baby" term are participating in sexual ageplay, though I suspect their numbers *might* be higher than the overall SL kid population. I'm definitely no expert when it comes to the adult babies. I do however know SL kids - an to say that 80% of them are adult babies who also participate in sexual ageplay is to be woefully misinformed. Mari _____________________

I'm glad that SL rules arent RL rules, i'd never be allowed to have sex... I'm 4'10" weigh about 90, wear pigtails often, and kids clothes about the only thing that decently fit... often people think I'm underage... and I'm 29. Wow, am I glad LL doesnt make the real laws.
anyways, it hink some of their methods to determine are not sound. if i went completely AB (adult baby) and had someone i called my mommy or daddy, and wore baby clothes on my current AV (which looks adult wearing adult clothes, but could be border-line wearing kids clothes), i'd be banned for child porn just because someone else saw something they didnt know anything about. ABs are adult babies, its about adults dressing and acting like babies, so they would be categorized into child porn very quickly unless they made their AVs like 8 foot tall... which ruins the fun. And you all need to stop thinking diapers mean babies... people of all ages wear diapers, and the adult diaper industry is huge. |

Actually, slavery isn't illegal in the US, just certain forms of it. The 13th Amendment Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime where of the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. So, if the SL slave is a convicted criminal, then their slavery isn't illegal. If I'm playing SL from Cell Block E, I guess I qualify for Gorean Slavehood, eh?  _____________________

The culprits are the ridiculous governments who want to restrict what people do with a bunch of stupid pixels. The other culprit are the so called news agency that want to exploit this for ratings. Philip and his bunch made a sound decision. It was a business decision they had no choice but to make. Remember, they want SL to become more mainstream. Bring in more people and more corporations and that means more $$$$. If SL continues to get more coverage regarding ageplay, whether it's valid or not, no company is going to come anywhere near it. Too many people forget that it's all about making profit. It really is that simple. If you're upset about it then go create your own age play website. Have a good time. Sorry it didn't work out here. I wont disagree that it sucks, but sometimes life does. It's not that I mean to be insensitive, I just don't see any point in debating an issue that is bigger than LL itself. _____________________
