You shouldn't use a word till you are old enough to understand it, many do however.
Hmm the ocassional one isn't a problem but in a world where we try to condense information, people expanding sentences by adding an exletive every 4th word is just dumb. I met gamers in MMO'S who actually have shortcuts set up so they can swear and still communicate fast enough with the rest of the team fast enough in combat.

From: Void Singer if I call someone a rude obnoxious, troglodyte, with the intelligence of a gnat, and the grace of a bull in a china shop.... it just doesn't have the same impact as dumbass!
Actually, I don't think "dumbass" has very much impact either. Your long insult loses impact mostly because it's too diverse and weak. I mean, lacking in grace? There was a MUCH better example of a roccocco insult quoted recently on SLUniverse (in Roman dialect) which included the choice phrase (and I bowdlerize the translation here), "Your ass is wider than an aircraft carrier and your naughty bits have seen more traffic than the Salerno to Reggio Calabria highway".

This forum isn't for general discussion; there are many Resident Sites where this discussion is appropriate — Resident Answers is for Resident-to-Resident help. I'll close this thread...
