If one wanted to have an ALT party, how would one go about it?

* Takes off jock strap and waves them in salute.

That will have to do until Oryx shows up.

Hey! I was just reading in Time Out magazine's "Get Naked" column about some guy with a jock strap fetish. Was that you?

Probably not. While I love the sight of a guy in a jockstrap, that usually leads me to pretty quickly want to get them out of them. :D

I'm restraining myself from issuing a comment at this moment.

To be perfectly honest with everybody, I was bitter, but over it now. I just hope Rha did not get squashed in the fray...

decided to answer the original question of this thread, and answer it seriously (not voting though)

If I were having an alt party, I would first find a place to have it, and either hire a DJ or DJ it myself

then I would advertise it in events as well as the events section of the website.

I would tell my friends about it via im

I would promote it as exactly what it is, a party for folks to come to as their alt

there would be no prizes, it would just simply be a party

my ideas are pretty basic, it is an event, just like any other event, so thus treat it as such

advertise in the proper places, tells friends, if the club or location it will be held at have a group advertise it there

I just basically outlined the way I treated any event I would have at my club (when my club was running)

nothing unusual about how to promote an event
just cuz it is alts, doesn't change the fact it is an event

heh

(I soooo thought this thread died)

Sorry Rhaorth, Honestly I was hoping to get some REAL advice too...which you so kindly provided, and I thank you!
HOPEFULY this thread may turn out to be a kind, and gentle thread after all!
So please everyone, lets let what was said in the past be just that, and remain in the past. After all we are into a new week, and in the present, and this is the week of the alt party, which as most of you have noticed by now, I am very much looking forward to...Yeahhhhh!

BTW... My advice to Claire or Stormy, please list the alt party event under events in this website...please! It's not too late to do so...
