griefer unmasked , um sorta

well we unmasked that griefer turdbucket, sorta. we revealed who he is in sl NOW and deeply hinted who he was (the permantlybanned main) enough so the curious could figure out who he was/is, but we didnt abuse report the fool or remind the linden whom the griefer attack about the former assault

since most of you thought that the permanetly banned shouldnt get a second chance, do u think we did the right thing, short of havin this griefer removed from BOTH grids 9kiddie grid and the main grid)?

ultimately i agree , which is why we didnt just snitch said griefer out to our resi team pals, but not to sound too much like that famous second thoughts blogger (u know whO) ONE HAS TO WONDER about the mentality of a rl school teacher who crashes sims and assaults Linden lab employees then wants to lead his school onto the teen grid and teach children

i mean lets go a step furtur i KNOW this griefer. i committed acts at this persons behest (and was subsequently suspended for them). not only did i not know HOW to commite these acts (mass orbiting everyone on a sim when u could do crap like that) i had no inclination to do so when my only tos violations up to tha point was hurtingpeople's feelings inthese forums

oh i yapped about this ikinda thing with lindens when they called their thing the g team. if i ared the sap they would remove him because he's masquerading around inalts after having been permanetly banned, whether they considered the kids or not,they wold remove him caws he was ALREADY removed, but said griefer tards around reformed now . i'm not sure I{M the one to deny him a second chance. not 100% sure anyhow

I like the concept of Slut Mag. Crap porn is ironic when it can be found anywhere in-world with little or no effort - same goes for the sleazy gossip. Mind you, they could do with optimising the pdfs properly in which case it wouldn't be such a hassle to download.


This the same guy as Jumpy's old comrade-in-grief is it? If so, I don't see how he was out of line with the 'City of Heroes' thing when he was only seeking to play the game as it was planned - certainly not from the article you linked.

I think the attitude of the other players was much more disturbing because it's pretty much typical of the roleplayer's tendency to stultify in-game once certain 'social' needs have been satisfied. For 'community' read 'chat room', for 'players' read 'sadsack bores' and for 'griefer' or 'troll' read 'not one of us'.

I can't count the number of RP environments I've found in SL that have gone down that road.

there are a few other relevant points in that though, like the clashes between pure RPer's and Social Gamers, and how disregarding social conventions leads to ostracization, even when some follows the game rules. it also highlights a flaw seen in lots of games... if you don't give players a convenient in game place to socialize, they will turn whatever common area is available into one, often to the detriment of both groups.... Tachyon had this exact problem back in the day... there was no simple ingame area to discuss things or have friendly duels, and the social rules of the are began to conflict between the groups. rules like, no hunting idle ships, and required requests for dueling, in what was suppossed to be a FFA environment....

I swear if I ever try scripting again, I'm going to make a Jumpalizer. It's sort of like Swedish Chef crossed with l33t mixed with T9.
