I forgot to mention, my NPIOF alt holds all my money... protects the business account from losing out too much if it's ever hacked, and it means the alt isn't likely to be targeted for an attempt.

I have an alt that does not work, does nothing but mooch off me.  I give her Lindens, clothes, and she also makes the same clothes I make. If she sees something she likes or wants somewhere, she makes a note and tells me how much it is........I pay her what she needs so she can go buy it. No mystery, really. Your alt sounds very spoiled  _____________________

I do all my $ transactions on xstreet, guess that makes me a suspicious person Welcome Crash. Maybe these rich avs are the walking "banks" for the main av. Maybe their partner is just generous. What are your thoughts on this? Alts with PIOF mains - or NPIOFs with generous friends. They might also be working in places like clubs. Some people make a lot in tips. They might be making things, and selling what they make. Why judge? (As Brann said, too, there are a lot of very good freebies around. You can get literally anything for your av free these days. Not everything - but anything.) |

I've never had PIOF . . . because I've never paid real money into SL. I don't think that I have enormously expensive clothing, skins, or hair, but I certainly don't rely on freebies either. I have a modest income from my in-world business that is just enough to allow me the occasional shopping binge (as well as paying for rent and shop-related expenses). It is quite possible to survive in SL reasonably comfortably without using RL money, as I can attest: it needn't be "suspicious." I must be having a brain fade. I don't remember knowing that you had a business, or what/where it is. Do tell? I like to patronize forum posters businesses. |

It's been a while now, but I've noticed that some people around me seem to have a suspicious source of income. They have no payment info on file, yet they always wear expensive sets of clothing (from well-known stores), and change it like everyday. If its copybotted it won't show the proper creator's name. So if it is showing the proper creator's name - its almost certainly an alt that's been sent money or toys or both by the main. Many popular shops also have MM boards and daily freebies. I used to also get about half my lindens from random gifts from guys and from winning 'best in ___' contests in clubs. Stopped bothering with SL men almost entirely so I wouldn't have to keep feeling weird about it... (plus way too many of them act like men...) and when I got my land I got too occupied elsewhere to bother with the dance offs - fun as they are. Some of my alts are very nicely dressed, and also have no PioF. _____________________

And she's more "centred" than me. Also, I think she's brighter when it comes to replies and doesnt get into half as much trouble. She's able to communicate better with Laurin and Deira. I think Uncle Des. prefers her coz he always speaks about her. She definitely has a pleasanter look to her; I have a permenent scowel. She has way more empathy, more faith, more appreciation and prolly a better vocabulary. I think your right. I'm snippy naturally. I dont have to work it. Anyway back to the qustion. I think grits is best with butter and for breakfast. Always will. _____________________

But how does your average buyer (like me) know this? Copybotted items are 'usually' sold in a big empty lot or from someone else's inventory - not in proper shops. There are a few exceptions. When in doubt, ask around. Some in the FCH group, & probably NCI helpers, will know these things. |
