I have never looked at a 1st life entry on a profile, not even my own (but then, it's blank). Why? Simple:

My profile is mostly what I am interested in and not and true what I do put.
If it's vague, it's only because I really only talk to a few friends about myself.
Skimming the OP, I didn't pick up on them being sexist,
if they were I know a few guys that could provide a service for liar Profiles & Pics beyond the desperate housewives usual suspects.
I'm not big on alts, 2nd rez date and still alt free!
When I look at someones' Profile, it's mostly to see what they are interested in,
do w/ their time in SL and what cultures they enjoy.
Other then that, I only care how ppls act, carry themselves.
I just wish ppls could could keep their f-ing alts straight.
[hm ...straight might not be a good word in this ref har har]

My profile is completely true. My RL is pretty standard and uninteresting, and I put in my FL tab what I thought should be known. I'm married, I have 2 kids, I'm old enough to know better, young enough not to care and won't communicate with anyone outside of SL. I am partnered with my RL husband, so not looking for romance so no need to elaborate on any of my profile tabs. I am who I am.

I enjoy reading profiles, and really hate when they're blank. Even if it's lies, ffs, put something in your profile.

I keep my profile updated mostly, but it's fairly sparce compared to others I've seen. The SL tab has a bit of info about my likes, dislikes, and personality. I have my RL picture on the 1st life tab so I dont have to answer questions about what I look like. It's not that hard to figure out the basics from my pic so I don't feel the need to elaborate on my RL. I take peoples profiles at face value usually, unless it's something so far fetched that it merits a raised eyebrow. Even then, I dont really care... I judge by how people act, not by how much BS is in their profile, or by how much RL stuff is in there. It's kinda funny really... I've noticed a lot of people assume that if you have believably true RL info in there, you're here to swap RL info and/or go on a RL date. Likewise if you have anything saying you're not interested in RL details, you get people IMing you with so much fake "character personna" or emoting that you wonder how they'd survive at all without 3rd person narrative. I really need to find some better places to hang out  |

I keep very little in my SL profile, I figure anybody who actually wants details can put forth effort to go find my profile over at SL Profiles. I don't bother with lies. Too much work to keep track of who you told what to. Life is just much less complicated when you always tell the truth.
