From: Ricardo Harris And you believe its cool to have your spouse sharing sl with you? I would think sl is to get some freedom to do what you like as oppose to having to be with your mate same as rl.
Many couples who come in go their own ways which I think is best. They may start out together but once they see how it really is, things change as they feel like doing things that don't require their mates to be there. Yes, actually, I think it's very cool. My RL husband and I partnered on SL, and I like it that way. Besides, we save tons of money on babysitters. We can go "out" and dance without leaving home. Another benefit......you can always log off and have fun in RL when things get "hot" in SL. It also keeps us mostly out of trouble.

From: Tiuri Thiebaud You definately should get him the painter shoes from Shiny Things.

From: Trout Recreant ..."All the sublety of a hand grenade in a bowl of oatmeal" is going on my list of all time favorite quotes. I don't know exactly what it means, but I love it! Imagine a cream pie. Imagine it hitting someone splat in the face. Now imagine that happening in all directions at once. This has been a helpful Resident Answer® presented according to the guidelines for the RA® forum® on the Second Life® website.

From: Tiuri Thiebaud You definately should get him the painter shoes from Shiny Things. I bet he likes those too, and they happen to be one of the VERY few decent freebie shoes in SL. Actually, I think they are the only truly well built and textured free mens shoes I've come across in almost 2 years of SL. I'll ditto that comment. They're down on the lower left corner of the wall with the men's shoes.

I recently helped a guy n00b with no money get started. Here's some of what I found for him: Good free male AO at E. Watkins (search places, it's equestrian clothing and animations). Creator name for store is, I believe, Emilie Watkins. Kmadd enterprises had a table full of freebies recently from good designers for their grand opening. Don't know if it's still there. Adam n Eve offers a free male skin for n00bs < 30 days, as well as a free pair of shoes of their choice from Damen Gorilla. Fleur has free male skins for < 30. The Linden Lifestyles location has Jack in a Box with a variety of decent mens stuff. I think you can also find it at Calla, which has other freebies for men. Digit Darkes' associate that does mens clothes (sorry I can't remember his name. you'll have to go to Digit's store, find the mens store, and check creator name on the clothes to get it. unless somebody else knows it.) has a great pair of jeans and a shirt at shop.onrez.com (I don't think it's in the store any more.) There's a freebie blog that opened a location inworld where they put quite a number of the recent freebies. It's called Free*Style or Fabulously Free or... something. Very sorry I don't have the exact name. You can find the feed for their blog at http://fashionplanet.worldofsl.com/ (Great resource for n00bs) Sorry I couldn't be more specific, or energetic about finding some of these specifics. I'm too old and cranky. This is what happens when you stay in SL too long. Be warned.

The free men's hair at Calla - on the desk at the left of the entrance amid several packs for women, has a very good color assortment of a decent style. They also have Jack in a box (on the floor).
And thanks to all for the great tips, I'll have to create an alt just to use them, now. (Ha -- Cee creating an alt? Will wonders never cease!)
PS -- Elora, I'll LEND you an old man and an old woman avie (not Granny!) to try -- but I want them back! (They're trans but no copy)

But, I did find another pair which I mentioned I'm dying to purchase, tho I'd love to see yours also.

best way to quickly set up a guy Av is to act like you like him, then hint on a rendezvous,
then teleport him into the middle of a panther-girl camp and then log off.

If he is creative, likes experimenting with things if he get some free textures, preset clothing templates that are freebies out there or make his own clothes this is option too. I hate shopping personally but I occasional do. Cheapest and some low cost male outfits can be found at Midnight City. I found overcoat type outfit for 10L. It included pants, hat, shirt, etc. For little bit more around 350 a outfit De Grimm Brothers has some nice clothes if you're into the look they make. They got some pretty nice hiking boots there too. Dark Dhrama Isle I think has the best type of avatars including older men, that look very realistic with pot bellys, grey hair and wrinkles.
