Innertubing down a river in Africa, watching the hummingbirds follow me, is one of the coolest things.
As a newbie I was fooling around in some elf-type area (where are all the elves, these days? I haven't seen one in ages...) and "wore" a hallucinogenic shamrock. Wolf howls and crazy music started coming out of my speakers, and all these amazing stars and sparkles floated around my screen. It was really awesome.

oddest thing ever is the "sitglitch"
Every once in a while I'll go to sit on something and be thrown to 0,0,0 ...and I won't be alone. there will be several avatars there, badly rezzed, dancing, sitting, walking, etc. Then I bounce back to the spot I was sitting, and no one I saw there knew they were there. (I IMed a few of the people I saw there.)
I have a theory that we're all actually at 0,0,0 constantly, but our clients render a copy of our avatar at the camera position.

lol omg i have to put this somewhere lol. My cat just went mad! I dropped something next to him by accidentally, he jumped up, shot across the room, knocked my CD tower over, ran over my other cat (who only looked up to see what was happening). He then bumped into a doorway and lay there panting. poor thing. hes okay just out of breath. and the amazing thing is, that my CD tower landed inches away from my drink lol. Who wudda thunk it? Sorry I just had to tell someone this, coz i just spent the last few minutes laughing my head off lol. anyway, back to the topic - oh yes, shiny things.....

I don't have a great story to share, more of a feeling I had. Someone asked if I would like to go for a ride on him. (Plz let me explain before all your thoughts are clouded...) He was a big, beautiful dragon and, although I had seen him around where I hung out (Elf Circle Lands), didn't really know him. So I jumped on and we flew around a few sims. It truly _felt_ like I was flying through the air on a magical beast. The air was rushing by and I held on. I had no control of where he was taking me and I felt giddy, like a kid. Sorry, I'm not very eloquent and I wish I could express myself better. I just felt FREE! It was brief and I felt flushed...

Judging by your post, I'm guessing rehab. Innertubing reminds me of an evening I spent hanging out with someone floating in innertubes in a hidden pool in a weird psychadelic build. The lighting was all strange and there were crystals everywhere. I wish I could remember the name of the place. Gypsy Moon? It was something like that. We spent some time crashing into each other full tilt on our innertubes, and then just hung out and talked. It's one of my best memories in SL so far.

We have ten of the little buggers.....one is lying right behind me on the chair right now and takes up all the space, leaving me with a left buttock that's fallen asleep. The smallest one of them always goes made after she'd had a sh*t, weird enough. Starts jumping over everything, tries catching her tail.....I don't know if she's actually celebrating being 100 grammes lighter or something.

Funiest thing I ever saw was when our cat got on the dinning room table and sat on a wooden breadboard, the timber and breadboard were polshed so slippery, the cat decided to pounce to the sideboard, the bread board went 4 feet off the opposite side of the table the cat went 2ft about halfway between the table and sideboard and gave the whole family a Wylie Coyote type look hanging in the air before plumetting to the floor ungracefully

Sorry Claire - Friday Threads can't be forced. They must come from the heart (of an emo).

Ours slip on laminate flooring. Poor kitty. And Conan, I know friday threads tend to be just a load of derailing fun, I needed a laugh, and was actually genuinely interested in the question.
