Hello all of you wonderful people :)
As it is Friday, and I have had a truly rubbish week, I decided to have a bash at a Friday thread ;) I need a good laugh. I know it is prolly stupid and will get locked immediately but hey ho, there you go :p lol

Anyway, I don't care if this decends into chaos (no offense to the actual person ;)).

To make this thread legit, I actually have a question  shock horror! lol

They say that SL is 'your world, your imagination', so...

What is the wierdest/most wonderful thing you have seen/done in Second Life so far?

And I know some of you will have some doozies, so lets hear em...

Ok I'll bite, yesterday(in a sandbox) soemone with a hilarious, sexual first name appeared, wearing only a corset (boobs and bits hanging ALL out), with these HUGE prim boobs and the title 'Stupid Little C**t'. They tped in and out, rezzing various sexual items, pony tail butt plugs etc. I swear I didn't know whether to laugh or cry (I laughed A LOT). There's many more but that one is so fresh in my mind. Her profile was so funny, some of the groups out there are just strange (and quite possibly against TOS).

I know its going to sound like I'm getting excited over nothing, but......

For me the most amazing thing I have experienced so far is going to see a Live Music act and, inbetween songs, they say hello to you personally, call you by your name and comment on something you've typed in Open Chat. eg "Hi AlexLee, great to see you here tonight and I'm really glad you enjoyed that song. Thank you"

It makes me feel completely starstruck!!!! :)

hmm the weirdest thing i`ve done is apply for liaision out of sheer(sp) boredom and hope to get a couple of bucks while helping people

strangest thing i`ve seen is some griefers being mentors hence the abouve as if they get to literally abuse the tag, i`d have a chance with just a big yap(mostly) :)

wished you wouldn`t have reminded that it`s friday, with how midweek went, the weekend will be ****...

My first night in SL, I was walking around the zen gardens of Achemon. Suddenly, I was immersed a whirling blue milky way-shaped galaxy that surrounded me with stars and a soothing blue light. It lasted about 20 seconds and then vanished. I later asked the land owner and he said it wasn't anything that he had ever seen or heard of. I never saw anything like it again. It was my magical welcoming to SL.

Ok, this is really weird, I saw something exactly as you described on the ege of my land OFF the edge of the sim (in the void) it lasted about half a minute and slowly dissipated. No particle generators or anything were present, and I was the only one on my land........weird!

I am gonna have to get to a live event sometime alex. that sounds amazing!
aww alicia, i hope the weekend is good to ya, I can't wait to get out of the office, the sick colleagues are determined to infect me with their colds and the like, i can actually smell the illnes, how wierd is that? maybe i have some sort of sixth sense lol.
Raymond, i sooo wanna see that now. it sounds amazing! someone must have known the good you would do lol.
Diera, Italian vampires sound captivating! lol sorry. hehe

i spose I better put mine in, seeing as you are all being kind enough to answer my question.
I once saw a plywood box avvie. No joke. someone had created an entire avatar using plywood boxes o.0 i just stood and laughed. It looked really funny, and it wasn't just the wearing a box on your head accident thing. They actually had one, in the default texture, on every attachment point!
I wish I had a picture of it...

Must be a firework-type script that someone likes to anonymously set off in random areas. I hope it stays a mystery. :)

There are some really amazing ones that I can think of but the one that always sticks in my mind is kind of simple and took place in a bar. I was just there for a few minutes checking it out and barely noticed a couple that were there. About an hour later while out shopping it hit me that it was a lizard and a tiger having sex in the middle of the bar. I thought it was pretty amazing that I'd reached the point that didn't appear to odd to me. I classify that as the defining moment that I was officially no longer a noob.

My biggest problem with live events is being online at the right time. I am usually online at about midday SL time - my 7pm (i think). I haven't seen many shows on at lunch-time.

Wo0t!! just realised i am only 11 - no 10 now - posts off 500! lol. yey!!

ok so i know there is a saying that applies to me... simple things..... and all that lol but i don't care! :D lol

12 pm SLT to about 4 pm SLT is pretty much prime time for live music as far as I have seen ........
at 1 pm SLT (especially at the weekends) you may get an average of about 30 gigs going on at the same time ...... busy hopping times for me :D

@ Alex......... I know what you mean about the starstruck thing .... the way musicians interact with the crowds is utterly amazing!

Happy Friday Claire
And thank you for being such a happy person :)

My weirdest moment remains being stuck somewhere far underground, unable to move, and finding myself sitting on some strange cartoon monster in the darkness. The circumstances, timing and positioning of this is so bizarre that I'm still not over it.

The coolest thing in SL is falling in love with someone on the other side of the planet :)
