Is BST 8 hours ahead of SLT? That's pretty inconvenient for the US fans. *sigh*

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

A guy I used to live next door to (in SL) had the dream of building a reproduction of Ankh-Morpork in SL. It would've been on multiple sims, an enormous build.

I wish he'd been able to do it, so Mr. Pratchett could see it.

Well, I have just completed the treasure hunt. For those who haven't yet done it, I wouldn't bother, really. There are 12 clues and all you win is a link to a webpage where you can sign up for a free prize draw using your rl details. A few Pratchett related goodies on the way round would have been good. Personally, I'd love a piece of Luggage.

Looking forward to the Q&A event though.

I should be able to make it, if I remember. Whee! :)

Good Omens

YAY!!!! Terry Pratchett is wonderful and funny. Discworld is a hoot, but do read Good Omens, which he co-authored with Neil Gaiman.

YES! I am a big fan of all of Mr. Pratchett's "solo" work, but "Good Omens" is also a favorite. All of Terry's wise and wonderful wackiness set in the "real" world. His co-writer didn't hurt it a bit. :)

Fantastic! Just found a very nicely-done Discworld cosmology avatar the other day..a big swimming turtle complete with elephants. I have been scratching my head ever since about where I can possibly wear it....

*grins* Well... I guess I better warm up the stake launcher.

Forums are like time capsules.. either they are slow released or something gets dug up after a long time has passed.

There is an Ankh Morpork sim in SL. I hope Terry visits.

Opportunity Alert: Record in world events for complete playback later by recording all the data for a region and all avatars in it for the recorded period.

Then you could go back and watch it all over from inside the event.

Damn, I missed it. And I was trying to choose between a Death av and a Librarian av. ON THE ONE HAND, PEOPLE WOULD CONSTANTLY BE TELLING ME NOT TO YELL, but on the other hand, how many people understand how nuanced and expressive a vocabulary consisting of only the word "oook" (and occasionally "eeek";) really is?
