Noticed this over at SLU and then read a bit more.

http://www.terrypratchett.co.uk/news/#SecondLife

"In a unique opportunity for Discworld fans across the globe, Terry will appear on The Nation and take part in a live question and answer session with fans, on 9th October at 8pm (BST)."

Prior to that on the sim of Elysian Isle you can sign up for a treasure hunt that runs from tomorrow until October 10th, you'll need to sign up for Terry Practhett fans group to be able to access the nation sim.

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Elysian%20Isle/149/204/26

Anybody going to participate?

I met Terry a few years ago, the company I was working for did some marketing for one of his book tours. Funniest, wittiest person I have ever met.

I will definitely be there and in no way will I be sqaure.

I have always believed that Prachett really started SL and Phil is only the front man.

How wonderful to have two of my fav worlds together.

With my sense of time, I won't get in on time and will miss it so I hope some kind soul will post the transcript or that SLCN will broadcast it.

I am sure he'll find a hat similar to the one I've seen him wandering round in.

Didn't she play Lois Lane opposite Dean Cain?

One of the funniest, wittiest authors alive today, Pterry is a genius. Almost every page he writes has me laughing or groaning. Bugrit, millennium hand an' shrimp!

YAY!!!! Terry Pratchett is wonderful and funny. Discworld is a hoot, but do read Good Omens, which he co-authored with Neil Gaiman.

I would not disgrace the man's courage by being melancholy, but he has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. He refers to it as "an embuggerance". Still, he admits that it is beginning to affect his work, so an appearance like this may be one of the last chances to see and hear the man "in person".

Terry Prachett, yay! <3

He ties for favorite author with Sir Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie.

I'm drawing a blank on the third clue too hehe

Saving on the DSO is useful SOP, but more effective if not so much on the QT, wrt to TLA use. :-)
