My coolest place … although I have many … but on top of the list would be
Diegoland ….. cuz I live there in RL
Incognito at Cybertopia Glen ….. live there in Sl, but also because the people there are always friendly and there is lots to do there.
favorite gadget: omg not sure which one to pick from all the helicopters and what not that I’ve picked up along the way. But I thing at the moment my fav would be my HDCC viper harley.

The coolist place I found would be my house and grounds. I love it there and spend a lot of time there.
fav gadget: my huddles dance thingy and all the wonderful animations. Frankly without out these SL would be boring. So I vote for all the wonderful animations people work so hard to make for us to enjoy.

The most incredibly amazing sim I have been to recently is Tatsumi no machi. It is a recreation of the Spring Palace and surrounding grounds of the Heian era of Japan. We were treated to a guided tour by the designer, but the grounds are open 24/7 to visitors and I highly recommend it as an exquisitely beautiful, peaceful place to explore and relax.
Make sure you find the gift shop next to the hot springs. *smiles*
My most indispensable gadget remains my Mystitool - use it every single day. A new find is anything by Pillow Talk - animations/poses, etc. using pillows instead of pose balls! Ingenious!!!!

Actually, my coolest place was my first (free) apartment. Before having it, I saw no reason to have property at all ... but my sweetest moments in SL happened there, it was a great friendly neighborhood, and I learned so much setting it up!! I am so glad I took pictures galore there ...
But that's not what you really mean ... hmm ... Prim Hearts amusement park. I stumbled on it by accident one day!
Coolest gadget ... hmmm .... I would have to say Prim Finder. I don't build enough to remember all the things I can do with each primitive, and I share mine with friends too. It is a super learning tool (tho maybe it's made me lazy too).

Coolest gadget is, of course, the biplane. My little red buddy with unintended seating for a guest on the wing.
One cool place? There have been hundreds. Jeesh. OK, let me think.
I'm going to narrow it down to a cool place within a cool place. In one corner of the SL Botanical Gardens, there are these big hanging islands - they sort of float up there. If you stand on one of them, the middle one I think, and set the draw distance way out, the view is outstanding. Take someone with you and it's a great place to just stand there and talk. It's very peaceful.

You stole my cool place! I love those sky islands. My favorite cool gadget is: the moukah - multi-user houkah. It starts out as a houkah with one cushion, but when you sit at it and start smoking, another cushion appears, and then when another person joins you a third cushion appears, and ...

One of the coolest places I've been to in SL, and my favorite so far, was Prim Hearts amusement park. My husband and I were there one Saturday afternoon, and just had so much fun. My daughter enjoyed just watching us, and laughing at us, on the bumper cars, etc. A close second would be the International Space Museum. Very interesting and fun. My favorite gadget...I think, right now, it's my Mystitool. My alt doesn't have one, and when I'm logged in as her, I'm constantly checking the bottom of my screen for the radar from Mysti, and it's not there! Very frustrating not to know when someone is sneaking up on me, unless I look at the mini-map. (which is sometimes deceiving)

From: Brenda Connolly I can't narrow it down to one place, I have a handful of favorites, and every so often I find a new place that amazes me. My favorite gadget is my avatar. Without it SL is possible. Yay! Same here.

Ooooh I could give you a huge list of cool places to visit~!!! But ok.....if I have to go with just one....the first place I discovered that just really struck me was Devil's Moon city.... I wandered the streets in awe of the realism, streets that looked recently rained on and reflect the entire city... flickering neon signs....until finally I found a back alley where I teleported up to this dingy old bar in one of the skyscrapers. I still think it's one of THE coolest places in SL... not much traffic....but the view from the balcony of that bar is just wild....
As for gadgets.... again.... where do I begin! Most recently I got a tornado rezzer HUD which is just too funny....I can summon a huge tornado....make it move....and even add flying debris and suck up unwary by-passers if I so choose. LOL I have never used to harass .... tho I admit it has crossed my mind to go somewhere that allows build and scripting so I can summon a tornado and freak people out. LOL

Rasta Beach and Resort
12-20-2007 10:46
My cool place has more to do with the croud there than the actual place it'self, even though it is a nice place. Rasta Beach and Resort, a Reggee clothing optional beach (although it is usually a vey small precent who do the nudist thing. The ragulars there are always having live DJ's and contests, hang around and play spin the bottle and your sides will split! Visitors are made to feel welcome and many stay and become fammily rather easily and quickly. there is ahigh level of tolerance and just plain fun living! No need to woryabout being OOC)) you are accepted for who you are! My vote goes to Rasta! Oh, I am not much for gadgets so I will leave that to the experts!

From: Lex Insippo I'm still new to SL. I just started 2 weeks ago and haven't found one place that really stands out to me but, i'm still exploring. the coolest gadget i own would probably be the laptop override animation as of right now haha. Place: Aside form mentioning Livingtree, which really is cool to me for a lot of personal reasons, and given the season, I'd say "Winterland" in Del Agua. Gadget: I gotta go with the Mystitool. Barring that, I'd go with the child multihugger. From: Okiphia Rayna And my throwable oreo I made o.o I know its silly but I love the darned thing ^_^ send me an IM in-world if you'd like one... free an all Oh my goodness. Yup, I'd better have one of them if I may. My brother an sister will groove on it too. Mari

From: Joseph Abel Yeah...but does he come with a rezzable work platform? (/arches eyebrow)
Teasing...yes, that is probably the coolest find in SL - someone to share with.
Still...gadgets are just fun!! he has a rezzable something but I would not call it a work platform.

From: Rita Hainsworth time hud clock by time tech is my favorite new must have.....this places a small transparent clock with two time zones/countries on your screen so you can see your time and a friends time zone. I have mine set to New York City and my friend Veronicas time from Australia so i can see when she will be on. I say get it! hehe I made a hud clock (analog) that when you click it, you get a choice of timezones to pick

I'd have to say coolest place I've been is Nexus Prime.
As for gadgets, it's no contest: The Swimmer. Best L$300 (at the time) I ever spent.
