lol hmm i didn't know that...
I might just go and ruin a friend's view of plato lol. She is dead against 'that sort of thing' and yet she adores Plato. Should I be evil? hehe

xxcxx

Oh, yes, please. Anyone who is against 'that sort of thing' deserves it. To be fair, pretty much every civilised male was into 'that sort of thing' in Ancient Greece, apparently.
Oddly enough, Plato claimed his relationships were, well, platonic.

I can't wait for November 30th when Greenpeace fraudulently announce that "Babu" was the winner of the poll, and then no one will ever give the crusty Dutch hippies any money ever again. Then the French commandos can get down to business without the media getting involved. They've been waiting a long time for round 2.

That is one good thing you can say about the French, they do like to declare war on bands of pacifist hippies.

/me runs off to add that in my e-mail

only joking lol. she really is very prejudice. I think it was how she was brought up. I'll get through to her eventually.

Sandy - wow you hid it well! never would've guessed!
btw http://thefoody.com/meat/baconpudding.html bacon pudding lol. apparantly the recipe is from down south. This is a posh version. Gran never bothered with any extras like sage or onion. I can't believe I was told that she completely made it up :( I'll be scarred for life lol.

I can tell you many good things about the French but you wouldn't listen.

I quite liked Bumi. However when all is said and done I like to imagine the whale would be proud to have a fine comedy name!

Actually, the Romans were way gayer than the Greeks could ever hope to be. Greek art mostly showed young men engaging in naked sports - which is pretty gay, I'll admit - but Roman art showed young men having sex - which, I think you'll agree, is gayer still.

Still, the Romans got a lot done, so I think there's a lesson there somewhere.

I'd listen, but I wouldn't believe you.

Has anyone thought of asking the whale what his name is?

Even if I have been lead astray in this information, yes you should if only to make her confront her prejudices :)

Personally I guess I am nearest Nietzsche. I am not proud of that fact, but we are what we are. At least I don't LOOK like Nietzsche - I think it was the fact no one would boff him that made him so cantankerous.

Nietzsche wasn't very fond of Plato either. Who can blame him? Plato must have looked a sight by the 19th Century.

Yes, he splashed water on the asker's pants... I'll leave you to decide which name he prefers.

Speaking of Nietzsche, perhaps anyone thinking about buying land, signing a (useless) rental agreement or making a deposit into a fictional SL financial institution should be encouraged to read Nietzsche's theory of eternal recurrence.

The thought that they could be doing something again and again for eternity might give them pause.

Some whales - I think it may be humpbacks - have aerial sex.
