Question about banning

When I used to rent out skyboxes, I had showboxes set up. I once found a couple stark naked and 'at it' on a showbox bed. They said they were looking to see if they wanted to rent one or not. I thought "yeah, yeah" but I said they could carry on, and I left them to it. It was some time later when they left the showbox, so they did back to it.

I notice I've never seen them sold in your store, though you do have a new freebie skybox out. I like the old models better, though. I've used my SB1 a number of times - and now I'm downsizing my land, I may end up putting it up again.

Coincidentally, I rezzed an SB2 yesterday or the day before and considered making it a freebie - complete with the decor system. I might do it with the SB1 first though. I made the freebie you saw because I was bored one day, and with megaprims, it's bigger inside than the SB2.

Yes, that type of freeloader gets the ban from me, too. Set up a crib, sister!

One enormous sex furniture store has signs prominently posted, showing two (scantily) clothed avatars embracing on a bed. The text is something like, "If you're not wearing at least this much clothing, take it somewhere else."

There's a market for that kind of set-up, though. I had one using a house I had for sale....and I just put a tip jar in for her, and told her that I would check the visitor list twice a day. Every time she used it, she needed to drop X amount into the jar, or she would get banned. Worked out fine. And I sold the home to one of her clients.

You can also offer that kind of set-up with a pay-by-the-hour system teleport. Just tossing that info out for anyone who rarely uses their home. Make it pay for itself!

Isn't this coming dangerously close to the no 'advertised' sexual activity on Mature? If I am getting money for it, then I am promoting it, on my mature land. Sure it's not in Search that way, but hey, there's a tip jar sitting there for anyone who wants to use my house for the sexxehs.......could easily be misconstrued. As I mentioned, I ran into a Linden right behind my house couple days ago working on an abandoned parcel; glad I wasn't doing anything like that, would have been very easy to check.

Oh gosh - are they checking for that stuff? That's still very confusing - a topic for a hundred other threads - lol. Bit one of me was out prowling around yesterday - and seems like all sort of that stuff was going on all over the place - this was the me that is too young to get into Zindra. What I mentioned above, was before all the Zindra thing. If you don't advertise it....and disguise the tip jar....sort of a friend to friend thing....you think? Is it against the rules to put in a tip jar just for "visiting" and taking a tour?

The sex furniture shops on mature land are worried that if people go at nude in their shops, they will pay when somebody AR's it and the Lindens come in with a blunt instrument and start banning / object returning without investigating.

- Having a sign like that is a C.Y.A move. It makes it obvious to the investigating Linden that the AR'd activity was not approved by the shop-owner. It hopes the Linden has at least one open when playing with the admin-mode buttons...

Use a blacklist-oriented security orb.

One that only bans people on that list, and doesn't even bother anyone else.

Then just give it an insanely large radius like 256m, and, if pretty much everyone on the sim has an issue with the person, centrally locate it.

Hippo's orb system can be set up like that. In fact I keep one orb in my cafe that was setup that way (I think I've since shut it off as I'm not very active in SL right now). No one knows its there unless they're on its black list. If you're on the blacklist, you get TP'd out instantly with no warning - just poof.

Lets you deal with a griefer or other form harasser instantly at any height - without needing to be there. Making it especially useful for public places where your guests are getting bothered. Only ever had two people on the list myself - one of my alts, and someone I was annoyed at when I set it up. But the knowledge that I can set it up again if needed is nice to have.

Sounds like a bordello - setting out a tip jar, telling escorts feel free to use the place just give me a cut.

I'd think it's against the current rules - isn't the rule something like, it has to be your own home, to do adult things on Mature land?

Which makes me wonder why escort groups are legal anywhere other than Zindra. Or among PIOF/age verified members?

I'll bet my Christmas presents that at least some of those escort group members are minors.
