Question about banning

Oh, err, no, that part was me.

When i had mature mainland (not had the problem since i went to adult mainland) I had it set to a group, my friends/family had access to the group.. anyone else that tried to enter the parcel got hit with a *buy a pass for 1K per hour* from the land settings. For some reason, until I did that, i used to find people in my house all the time.. and it was OBVIOUSLY a private residence. Try doing that.... LOL if they insist on using your bed, at least ya made something off it.

Well you could place an object under the bed that detected when soeone was so close to it that they MUST be on it. ANd if none of the name matched yours, have IT heckle them and shout things like "Hey come see this!" and such

Those are some good ideas and yeah I should have more of a sense of humor about it. The guy that rents the rest of those parcels, other than mine and one other, said that this particular female is persistant, she's been banned from lots of the parcels and keeps coming back with different guys. So guess it was just my turn, as she hadn't been banned from mine yet. I guess he was telling the truth, seeing as how she came back twice after I banned her, to 2 different parcels around me.

There's another question, that kind of seagues into this event. The parcel(s) behind me, there are 3 size 512s. I have been on that sim 2 years and never seen the owners, they are 3 differnt owners and the parcels are side by side. I am wondering if they are no longer in SL, but had that free 512. All 3 have their land set to anyone can build. So, some guy comes along and rezzes his big house on top of all 3 parcels. None of them belong to him, he's just rezzing there because 'anyone can build'. Now he seems to be gone too, and so is half of his house, the walls and roof are gone and the rooms of furniture are just open now. Will LL do anything to clear that up? He had no business there anyway, but those 3 512s he was building on top of, will LL check to see if those people are still active, or do those free 512s just stay forever even if the true owners never return?

I caught a couple at one of my old gf's places, doing the nasty on the couch. I just sat in the chair opposite and lit up a cigarette. Occasionally I'd rezz a car on them, switch the pose balls to bdsm mode or get nakkie and stand there tutting with a maximum size do-da.

A 1 prim security orb can TP them home. If they are on pose balls at the time it will also probably keep them stuck in the pose animations until they relog.

What if they have 2 different homes?

Try contacting the owners and ask them to set auto-return. If there is no response, raise a support ticket asking if those parcels are abandoned and mention the amount of stuff on them. If the owners are long gone they can clean it up and send it to auction.

Stand at the foot of the bed and pretend to be the guy's main squeeze. Do this in open chat.

Ask him what does he think he is doing, bringing this tramp over to use your bed. Tell him at least he could have shown some class and picked up someone decent. Tell him that the bimbo he brought over last night, at least had a decent body....and omg, is that newbie hair?

You could also join the same group as each member, that way by looking at the member list, you could see when they last logged in and then leave the group....

One other idea on keeping visitors off your stuff.

I have a dungeon.....I mean basement below my skybox, that contains a few toys.......umm, pieces of furniture that I don't want new female guests......strike that, unwanted visitors to see. So I have a large 10x10x5 cube with the same texture as the dungeon....dammit, basement walls rezzed over them. When I wanna use 'em - I slide the cube outta the way.

One cannot click on what one can't see.........

There are absolutely no walls on my plot. Someone would need their own anims though as the only ones I have are custom sits on the chairs. Not to mention that any dots there probably would have one of my neighbors walking by to say hi.

I did what you suggested, about contacting the owners (there were 3 owners, one owned 3 plots). I figured I was just setting up to eventually contact LL, after no owner response but wonder of wonders, the lady who owns the 3, responded, apologized, came in and cleared her 3 parcels of the junk the squatter had left on them, and set auto return. I was truly shocked and amazed. That's 3 out of 5 parcels. One has not yet responded, and one no longer comes up in Search so cannot IM that one. I will give the one that does still come up in Search some time to respond, then file a support ticket as you suggested, thanks SO much for the suggestion, at least the lions share of it is gone.

I hate to find people in my bed too. For us, someone always left the shower water on. So in addtion to 30 sec warning on my orb, I have grouped all our stuff. Both methods have deterred a lot of that stuff.

They're just running an offset animation that makes it look like they're on the parcel. The agent is really off the parcel, and they can't interact with anything on the parcel. They might as well have sent you a photoshop.

Update on my land issue (messy 512 parcels, side by side, set to build and being dumped on) right behind my house on Whitesun; After taking the suggestion here, as I mentioned before, the lady who owns 3 of the parcels came in after getting my IM to email, and cleaned hers off and set them to Auto return. So, that was 3 out of 5, thought I'd have to be happy with that, because the other 2 people don't even show up in Search anymore, they are long gone, so figured I'd have to file a support ticket for those. But 'the rental guy' who owns most of that sim, filed a ticket on the remaining 2; he filed it yesterday morning. Last night, I arrived to my parcel to find Guy Linden there, making sure all was cleaned off and set to auction. Was cool to meet him, he was very nice, and in god mode, not showing up on my radar, which fascinates me. (he did show up as a green dot though, which is how I knew he was there behind my house). I guess they DO respond, just no predicting how or when.

Some days I feel like Treasure, some days I feel like "oh, who cares? They're not going to soil the sheets, after all."

My response varies, depending on my mood and on how the intruders handle themselves.

If they're polite and apologetic, I'm likely to say, "go ahead and have fun", and tp off somewhere else.

If the guy is pretending it's his place and showing off for his date, I'll get on his case.

If they are BOTH acting rude, I'll have all sorts of fun with them, before banning them.

Most of my land is open to all, except for one private skybox area. That's protected by an orb.

They DID soil the sheets, especially her, she was nasty, eewww. She's an escort, I think he was just caught up in the situation. Because, she does this all the time on that sim and has been parcel banned by a bunch of residents there, for this same thing. I guess I didn't give them a chance to say anything, but they did just barely stand up when I hit them with the ban hammer. Then they showed right back up again in the house across the way. The parcel owner there stood outside and didn't say a word to them, just banned them. So if you are going from house to house to house on a sim, with a different guy every time, and getting banned everywhere, something wrong with that thinking, what sense of entitlement tells them that's ok? I did also set the bed to owner use only. I've never used the damn thing, but had to put the balls back after they left, lol.
