So Threadies...

I really have to share a diva moment with you. Last night was Choir practice, and at the very end we were doing "Bless the Lord" from Godspell. It ends with a fabulous 5or 6-part chord and it happened i was the only one present who could hit the top note (A just below high C). And I NAILED it! Just pure and shimmery hanging over the 25 other voices....

If you're not a choral singer, you might not relate, but this is a "YES!" moment. I only had one chance to hit this one, and it was right on....

:D

ok, back to your regularly scheduled mayhem... :o
Wonderful Allegria and congratulations :), I love listening to choir singing (yes, yes vampires can like church music too). I wish I had the kind of voice you have, truly it is a gift :)

Ohhh, thanks all of you. :) I felt a little silly sharing this, but if you knew how often I've missed in these circumstances, you'd understand...

As Claire would say, "I was really chuffed."

my mom always told me I could not carry a tune in a bucket

tone deafness doesn't help, especially when coupled with partial hearing loss....

I was just in Arizona, a couple of months ago. We were in Sedona (which I know is not as intense) and Phoenix, which was crazy hot the two days we were there. The roses were in full bloom, as was everything else since it was early spring - just gorgeous! I'm always stunned by how much can grow inspite of the relentless heat there. Of course, it helps to have a good underground sprinkler systems I suppose ;)

I live in Phoenix, and the temps are now getting into the 100's

99 today, was 104 last couple days
supposed to hit 105 in the next couple days

I am also amazed things grow here

It is like opening the oven door when you walk out of a 70 degree house into the 105 degree hot dry elements.

Blech, indeed.

MY husband and I are at a point in our life where we are starting to ponder where we may want to retire some day. Arizona is on the list. When we were there, while in Sedona I mentioned how lovely it was and thought to myself that I could easily manage living "there".

Until we got to Phoenix those two days. I totally changed my mind. And it was only early April

A little something that will hopefully bring a smile to some of those who are feeling blue.

Where inspiration comes from....

This ....

Inspired this...
(a real goose egg, cleaned out and cut in half, decorated with hand made roses, trimming, chain pull, hinged, and painted a soft pink, the inside is flocked for a soft finish) used to hold small trinkets, or small jewelry.

well god made the big rose, and the duck made the egg

I made the small roses and put it all together LOL

yes I made that, and thank you for the kind words.

I only have a few of the things I made left, I used to make and sell them on ebay.
one day I will get back into it

this is another one I did using those handmade roses, this was a custom egg, made for her to place a small collectible perfume bottle in (if I remember correctly) been a few years ago now heh

(sorry for all the pics)

No wonder your SL body jewelry is so fantastic! :)
