I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Isn't that the medium age of SL residents?

Joseph, I would be on the beach already...

Looks like I am picking up another ride, making a deal on this 76 Goldwing

"CX"

Nice ride! I'm loving my bike this week. It started off cold and wet, but today is absolutely perfect for riding around. I came up with a good excuse for a long lunch and disappeared for a while - funny, I'm still hungry.

Hi all. Have no idea what's going on here, can't read through 50-odd pages to find out. Been too out of touch due to family issues that have kept me away from the thread, but doing my duty to bump the thread back up to number 1 (or at least 2) :)

Hiya Elora!! Hope all is better (or improving, at least) with the issues that have kept you away...

I'm not the best candidate to sum up what's been going on, so will leave that to the better qualified folks, while I stretch out in this sunbeam and stay out of the way...

Sadly, my grandmother passed away, at the ripe old age of 102. Yes, you read that right, 102.

I decided today to play hooky from work and take an extra mental health day tho :D

So things are looking up nicely lol.

Condolences Elora.

102... that's what is known in the UK as a damn fine innings.

Thinking of you.

Oh, my condolences on your grandmother's passing - mourning takes time.

But on the other hand: wow!! 102!! The changes she must have witnessed...the world really became a different place while she was here...just amazing!

My thoughts go out to you and your family - may everyone come through this stronger than before.

Thanks Max and Lil. She was quite a fiesty old lady and I can't help thinking if she had ever seen SL, she would have loved it, because it is filled with perfect looking "people" - she was quite obsessed with everyone looking their best at all times ;)

BTW - sidenote to 3Ring - I hope all is well with you too. I just noticed the quote Lil had up to you and since I haven't been able to read through everything here didn't know you were also going through some stuff at home. My thoughts are with you.

Damien, that was a gorgeous picture! It looks a lot like the Getrude Jekyll roses I grow, which most likely means nothing to anyone here but I'm a rose lover and it really caught my eye :)

Every time go to the gardens to take these pics, I always plan on writing down all the names of the flowers. I probably have about a thousand pics with no idea what plants they are. :o

Where did you take that? It really is a lovely shot. If you ever want to know what they are, there is a site called Garden Web and you can upload the pictures to one of their forums where people will help you identify them for you :) The rose people in particular are way helpful. Rose people, are nothing, if not obsessive lol.

Anyone else getting the big "TALK TO THE HAND" SL Icon on the log-in page? It's almost Friday and I guess, it IS Friday already in some places, so I shouldn't be surprised that I can't log in....

My condolences, too, Elora. How wonderful that you had your Gran for so many years, but no matter the age, the passing of a loved one is hard to bear.
