Consider yourself included and welcome, Pablo. What kind of a day are you having?

considering how the hurricane was handled, and the red tape that followed, no it won't. it will prolly be years before it fully recovers. but she's trying.

Last time I was there was.....wow 15 years ago. I was visiting a friend in Grad School at Tulane. I always meant to get back, I wanted to visit the D-Day museum. I heard it didn't survive the storm, ironically.

I still would like to go, the Mets have their #1 Farm Team there now, so it would be fun to watch a game or two.

Same deal here. I can walk to the beach and drive to the mountains in about an hour. I can see the ocean from our front windows and the mountains from the back ones. Well we could always see the mountains when I was a kid in the same house - now the air is often too polluted - it's sad.

ok, so that's a perfect place.

i'm not big into the beach, but the ocean is beautiful from afar.

I look dreadful in indigo, so I for one feel I've dodged a bullet there.

And here I was, thinking that indigo would look fabulous with your eyes. :D

you only miss it when you don't have to shovel it just to get into the front door. once you know that' your fate, you begin to dread it.

playing in snow is fun, although i haven't done so in years. i don't like to be cold or wet. i'm jsut no fun! LOL

This doesn't happen in Tucson.

I spent a weekend at Sierra Vista in the middle of March and there was a light dusting of snow when we got up on Monday morning.

lol, I've always loved snow....we used to have so much snow where I used to live we would get blocked in, but that was only for one week of the year...I guess I would get annoyed with it after a while...plus, I wasn't the one who had to dig us out, so i guess that made a difference lol. Even they don't get that much snow anymore.
I used to just go and sit outside in the snow drifts lol. I caught so many colds....I must be mad.

I'd have to say I enjoyed snow pretty much when I lived in Kansas. Especially if I had plenty of food and books and heat and I didn't have to go out. I never was the one to shovel it. I drove a cab there for a few years and the best money I ever made was in an ice storm. No one but cab drivers want to drive then.

Ahh, the Big Easy. How's it recovering?

We are doing good. People that don't mind a bit of work have recovered. I can't speak for others. The building I work in is still getting all the exterior marble checked and refastened just to be sure a piece doesn't fall off.

I also saw quite a bit of snow when I lived in Teesdale in Yorkshire. The coal fires we had for heat were inadequate and I often huddled over the gas stove in the kitchen. That's where I got good at driving on ice.

Sierra Vista does get a fair amount of snow most every year.
