The Jerk was also one of my favourite movies. I adore Steve Martin.
His book Born Standing Up is excellent. He worked his ass off to become an "overnight" success.

What does a girl have to do get noticed in this thread, strip and invite the group into another soapy shower? ;)

Sounds good.

Yes, I ditched the antibacterial soaps in the house a few years ago.

couple that with this new "green clean" thing and there ya go. many of those green cleaning products do not contain proper sanitizing to combat things like e-coli. dont get me wrong im not a germaphobe, but i believe in wiping down my counters after i been handling with raw chicken with a water/bleach solution.

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

Overuse of anti-bacterial products can make things worse. Imagine going into the jungle and killing all the big lions - you'd be knee deep in medium sized lions before you know it.

I wonder if it's that the food we are eating is less sanitary or if it's that our immune systems have been compromised by our lifestyles.

Both. People already pointed out the anti bacterial makes weak immune systems thing, but I dont thing anyone touched on the other.

This is "old news", it's just one co that got caught, but I think it's indicative of a huge trend. With the failing economy, companies are just cutting more and more corners trying to keep profits where shareholders expect them to be. Alot of the cut-corners involve ignoring health regulations. I really can't authoritatively speak of the whole industry, but I did recently work in a large food distribution wharehouse for the past 4 years. "scary" doesn't even begin to describe it.

Then there was that spinach thing. Poor labor relations = dangerous food products.

So our "pampered" bodies are suddenly being exposed to third world conditions.

If it smells of anything other than whale blubber or horse bones then it's far far too girly.

Sometimes if I'm feeling delicate I might use a wash-cloth instead of a rock.

Hmm- I like the kind that comes in bottles.. for me - something with a touch of patchouly - at Bath and Candle whatever that's called... they have this Aromatherapy line - soaps, sugar scrubs etc.. I love the Sandalwood Rose one. Husband likes Old Spice - smells fresh and clean. He travels a lot- when I get to feeling he has been gone too long, I bathe with that.

I have some heavenly Cherry Blossom bath oil from Bath and Body Works. It is soooo good, it smells good enough to drink.
