The movie "The Jerk" holds a special place in my heart. It was the 1st movie I watched with my fiancee. We laughed till it hurt. And we still giggle when we sing each other the Thermos Song. Even bought the Anniversary DVD. I also consider it & "The Man With Two Brains" to be Steve Martin's finest (and final) comedy work. The Jerk was also one of my favourite movies. I adore Steve Martin. _____________________

Almost all the tomatoes sold at the market are grown locally, but the large restaurant chains like McD's import theirs from the U.S. so they've had to pull theirs out from the menu. It's only going to affect them mostly...

It's only going to affect them mostly... on our trip to san diego we all ended up sick except hubby and father in law and guess what, yep we all ate tomatoes some of us are worse than others with the symptoms. my poor niece is heading to France today, on a post grad trip, and she is also sick _____________________

There's a couple months where homegrown or Farmers' market tomatoes are better, but year-round, the BC tomatoes are what I go for. That salmonella outbreak is scary. Bad times. It seems like there's more of that and e-coli than there has been in the past. I wonder if it's that the food we are eating is less sanitary or if it's that our immune systems have been compromised by our lifestyles. |

I actually forgot about the boots at Shiny Things till you guys mentioned it. They are about the only things I haven't bought in that store. I went on a shoe binge this morning at CCTV's place where I came away with 9 pair and another 6 at Enkythings. I'll hit Shiny things tonite. _____________________

Yep, and the fact that so many people are afraid of a little dirt, using anti-bacterial this and that, and doctors over prescribing antibiotics, etc. Don't get me wrong, these should be used for the very young, old, or who are already sick, but I find that we over use these things...
