Back in the day, when every one was reading Gor in school, I found this:http://www.amazon.com/Way-Pilgrim-Gordon-R-Dickson/dp/0312866623
It actually has some similar Overtones, and was a fabulous read. _____________________

I love that one Brenda- I have read and re-read it many times. And I will admit publicly here that I loved Battlefield Earth- the novel- and have read that more than once as well.

I love that one Brenda- I have read and re-read it many times. I haven't read it in ages. I wonder if I still have mine. I've been in this house 4 years and still have a roomful of unpacked boxes. _____________________

I remember being inspired by the idea of being able to sit for long periods with out being bored. It's funny the things one takes from books- the thing about 'fear is the little death' is another thing that has stayed with me since I read Dune more than 20 years ago.

Looks like my night is going to be filled with me taking pictures of my semi-clad (perhaps even naked) form too in readiness for my trouting. That is the burning question - how many pictures is enough? Can I claim to have invented that term? Trouted (to be), trouting (to get a) = sending pictures of yourself to Trout for a slut rating? You know you've arrived when your name becomes a verb. ![]() I didn't get a chance to get online last night, but tonight should be no problem. As for how many pictures, the more you send, the easier it is for me to get an idea about what I should write. A few people have sent LOTS, and plenty have sent only one. I try to take a holistic approach - lump all the pictures together and try to figure out what they say about the person. It's a little tougher to do that with only one or two pictures, but if they are really good pictures, then it's certainly possible. Rha - sorry I didn't get to them last night - you are first on my list tonoght when I get on. Oh - and good morning everyone! Thanks for all the suggestions for my back. It's still bugging me today, and I grabbed one of those heat wraps to wear. It seems to be helping. That and max doses of ibuprofen might do the trick. I'll ice it down again tonight, but probably not to the point where I'm destroying sheetrock - I have a damage deposit I'd like back at some point. What was the suggestion? Frost burns to my neck or sex? Hmmm...tough choice. OK. I'll go with sex - the kind that doesn't involve agonizing pain, please. _____________________

Oh come on! lol- But- may I recommend this... http://www.amazon.com/Jitterbug-Perfume-Tom-Robbins/dp/0553348981 Jitterbug Perfume! One of my all time faves. I have two copies; one's a signed first edition that I hide away just to look at, and the other is the one that I read. On a totally separate note, I just wanted to announce that through my inworld donation box, SL residents have donated enough money to Heifer International to buy 2 llamas, 2 sheep, a flock each of geese and chickens, 3 rabbits, and a hive of bees (USD$750 total!) Hooray and thanks to EVERYONE who donated! _____________________

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things. Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut. |

So, I'm basically undergoing, essentially, some behavioural modification training, and am wondering how annoying people find it when people use 'this girl' 'this one' 'this boy', etc to refer to themselves. I know I used to find it rather annoying, but wondering on other inputs. It bugs me sometimes, but I do understand it is a convention between Dom and sub. Normally, i just use the lowercase i and refer to Mistress as She or Her. i am Her toy. I hate the whole W/we or U/us thing. It just makes it more difficult to read. I try to avoid those words because if I truly felt She should have a capitol and I a lower case letter then I would not even be in the same level as Her and therefore should not refer to us as if we were equals at all. Mistress and i went dancing. This girl. It's just that it seems so formal. It is a convention of gor, I know. I am not gorean. I am a sub to Mistress. I am not inheriently below all free people; it is more that Mistress is above me. When I am feeling perticularly low I will refer to myself as Your girl but to Mistress only. To me, Mistress is Her name. Mistress Isabellah. She is not my Mistress; i have no right to claim her as mine in any way other than to say she is my owner. Keira, what ever convention you use is between you and your owner. Your limits are different than mine. Your feelings are differnt than mine. Why should your behavior modifications chosen for you by your owner conform to any sort of standard? |

Of course, he seems to get bored after a while and stops adjusting your rating... ![]() Untrue! I never get bored, especially with your pictures! The reason your rating hasn't gone up is because your pictures haven't gotten sluttier. Plus, I haven't received any from you in quite a while. There's also a point where I have to get pretty strict with the numbers. The scale is curved, so, for example, going from a 4.5 to a 5 is pretty easy, but going from a 9 to a 9.5 is very difficult. I never get bored, though. _____________________

I think you may consider a revision of the methodolgy. Spending 20 min to an hour talking to any of these ladies brings off a whole different mind set than a simple set of pictures. Rha! is an extremely gifted and intelligent woman. She knows what she wants and goes for it. She has designed a beautiful avatar that brings out all of her best personal attributes.
