I am beginning to think it is time to let this thread die. I keep coming back to it, hoping to get the feeling again, but it is gone. So much of the love came from my dear friend Amara, and she is gone. The atmosphere here is poisoned, and it is only a matter of time before it seeps to the inworld group as well I fear. I do not want to witness that,even though I am not involved in it much anymore,The Cartel is something I helped create and the prospect of seeing it destroyed is something I'd rather not face, so I have left the group. In some ways this is about protecting me from myself. LatelyI find myself almost saying things I would surely regret to people I respect, admire, and even love. Even I have drama queen moments.

I have a blog, a shop, and a group of my own to tend to, that will be enough for me I'm sure. I will be at SLU for now, I've been lurking at SC, but right now they need to settle down on the "We aren't SLU" and "SLU is full of dumbheads" meme, just as it took a bit for SLU to settle down when it first started before I posted there, after a month or so of lurking.

In any event, I know better than to say never, I've been down that road before, so instead I'll just say "Till we meet again".

How many times have we predicted the End Of SL As We Know It? And we're still here. Lately, our Providers reshuffled the whole grid...and we're still here.

They're trying to stifle outside competing websites. They're still there.

Sometime today is the official start of fall. They issued a Winter Storm Watch for a large area south and west of me. WTF - are we skipping from a mild and extra wet summer straight into a overly active winter?

I wasn't here all day yesterday, and I haven't read it all. But I've read enough to see how many people have felt they had to leave. Not just the thread, but the whole forum. The cost is too high.

There's a rule we keep - that what happens in the forums stays seperate from what happens in our in-world group. That's been easy to follow in the past, but...let's just say that in the past it was easy because there were certain kinds of things we never had to deal with.

I think I'm done with this thread as well. It was really fun for a while - honestly. But you're right; it's been poisoned.
