Brenda, i have just read all your ST summations. you had so much fun! :D i don't really follow ST so i don't get a lot of the references, but you told the stories well and i certainly have an image of lots of wacky goings-on. i hope you took some pics to share!


You didn't read too closely then, sweetie. My camera went pixels up in the very beginning, so not many pics. I may have one or two salvageable, I'll have to take a look.

Thank u all for the well wishes- Mom update: She was admitted and they have her on antibiotics. No pain meds yet, but there is a call in to the doctor to prescribe some. Her leg looks terrible- but we hope soon with the antibiotics, she will be on the mend soon.

Back home now and wll fone her later for up dates. Tomorrow I have to take kid to wor with me- oy vey! Poor co-workers! :eek:

can we have a Tuesday update on Mom? i hope she is feeling better by now.

Thank you for asking 3- According to the nurse, mom's leg is improved over night- I will know better when i can see her this evening after work. She said she did not sleep well and I do not doubt it- hospitals being rather notorious for that. Her spirit is cheerful though- pretty soon she will be climbing the walls and attempting escape, I am sure.

Don't feel bad. My favorite spinoff, DS9 was apparently reviled by the followers of Roddenberry as it broke every hard rule he had set down on Star Trek.

It's not the heat, it's the humidity!

I was in Phoenix last year in August for the first time in forever and was amazed that all the downtown hotels have mister systems outside their porte cocheres. Like walking through a muggy rain forest at times. I'm usually the outdoor type but I spent all my spare time inside. Ughhh.
Arizona itself has practically no humidity, which is why the hotels do the mister systems. Sometimes the misting helps, but sometimes it doesn't.

my house, inside the garage, as soon as i stepped out of the car. THOSE are trees!
