Some of you know that he has been tinkering around with other objects now and then, and had created a sundial once before. He never intended to sell that, but several people wanted it, so he did. This one is rather elaborate and actually does some interesting things when midnight approaches which are worth seeing. Because of this, he thought people might be interested to come over tonight and see what happens when the clock strikes 12 Well, midnight or thereabouts according to SLT - I can never quite figure these things out lol. If you aren't doing anything around 7pmSLT and want to pop over to his place, please come by. We'd love to see you - it's been a while for one thing and secondly, he's pleased as can be at what he accomplished with this bit of garden decor (truthfully - it's like a little light show, and really lovely). Just don't be late, or you'll miss it! IM me or Ghosty in world for the SLURL if interested. I have't been there all week or I'd just have it at hand. I'm pretty sure it's listed in the calendar here online too, if you're motivated to look. See you later perhaps. _____________________ eloralunasea.blogspot.com Have you hugged a llama today? |

Hehe, he turned to me (at home) and said "omg someone is here!" He saw you but was still busy in his "studio" messing around with stuff. I'm not inworld yet or I would have popped over and chatted with you. I've been so out of touch lately, because I started a new job and have been washed out from getting used to working full time again. Come back a bit before 10. I'll definately be there by then, as will Ghosty _____________________ eloralunasea.blogspot.com Have you hugged a llama today? |

| Brenda Connolly Un United Avatar Join date: 10 Jan 2007 Posts: 25,000 | 08-01-2009 21:26 Oh, I know. We got to wander through the Enterprise...and since they were taping part of an away mission that day ("Extinction"), we got to see a shuttle...and the set for the alien planet. COOL. I hope you're having a great day! It was a fun day, marred only by my little camera going on the fritz, so I have no usuable pictures. I got there just in time to see the famous TOS blooper reels, which are always fun. The vendor areas were smaller than I expected, not a lot of vendors. Next came Connor Trinneer and John Billingsley, who were very entertaining and personable. They wre both very candid in some of their criticisms of their tenure on Enterprise as well as with their praise. Billingsley has a very droll, self deprcating wit, he often referenced his seemingly endless series of post Enterprise roles as either a child molester or serial killer in various TV shows. That was followed by an exhoribatantly priced Burger and Beer at the food concession. Next came a memorabilia auction. There were 2 items I really had to resist bidding on, one was a TOS poster signed by the entire cast that went for $600, and also a photo signed by all 5 series captains, that went for $550. Kate Mulgrew was next, and I have to say it was a mixed experience. She looked fabulous in a LBD. She was very gracious and engaging, with a definite theatrical delivery. She spoke about her association with Alzheimer's reasearch which wasnice, but also took a bit of a political tone in regards to her latest project, a film about Guantanamo. I felt she did a bit of soapboxing of her particular political views, including one or two gratuitous swipes at those who didn't subscribe to them. I thought it was going to get worse when one of the audience , during the Q and A, tried to turn it into a discussion on Health Care Reform, but she deftly sidestepped it, helped no doubt by the crowd shouting him down to stay in the spirit of the event. All in all though, she was very engaging, and also had some very insightful thoughts on her character , in how it developed, and how she wished it and the show would have developed. After another break, and visit to the Lobby Bar, there was a costume cntest that was amusing, some people really go all out. It was a fun day, with the exception of the camera malfunction. Of course , tomorrow is the big one, with the appearance of Gowron and Martok, two of my favorite characters as well as The Vulcan Himself. _____________________ Don't you ever try to look behind my eyes.
