I have basil growing too :D

Actually - that may be a better match with the chicken tonight.

And yes, I did like Linden very much Brenda. Went to the bakery and picked up some Italian cookies too. Nice little town, has everything in it one needs and is lacking in Rahway. Good thing it's so close by, I'm sure we'll be stopping in a lot more now.

BTW, have you ever been to Amici's? I passed it on Elizabeth Avenue, was wondering if it's any good.

No. It has been mentioned favorably but I haven't been.

Wow, I'm hungry for pirogies now!
Ditto - I have some in the freezer and a jar of pesto in the fridge. That might be part of dinner tonight or tomorrow.

Damn snow finally hit - took 45 min for a normal 30-min drive home (guess it could have been worse). They are saying anywhere from 4-12" for the city and double that in the foothills -- I live right at the edge of the foothills.

Well, off to my workout - see you folks in a bit.

instead of addressing everyone individually, i'll simply thank you all for being so kind about a gentleman you'll never meet. and i appreciate the support. he was a very gentlemanly man, very kind, very intelligent and very giving. a family friend. he told me he hurt all over which just about busted me up right in front of him, so i'm glad he is finally out of pain. this morning, he passed 10 minutes after they removed any support. i was not there, but i'm okay with that. may he rest in peace.

i'll reply to other posts later, or this weekend. not to be one-sided, i just wanted to pop in with that update since i had brought it to all of your attentions.

Many hugs to you and I admire you for being such a good friend to him. So many turn away. He's blessed that he had you, and I know you feel the same about him. Condolences on the loss of your friend, 3Ring.

3Ring, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Words seem so inadequate when someone dies, but I will keep you and your loved ones in my heart and prayers.

Oh, 3Ring, I'm so sorry that your friend is gone.

I feel stupid now posting this, but I logged in to do it, and then saw your note about your friend.

This is Izdzan, showing off what I think is a new avatar. I'm the cartoony girl in the background.

Seven, I think pics may be just the thing to cheer us a bit. The boots you are wearing in that pic are definitely worth posting! (OK, the faun avatar is also cool... but SHOES...!)

I'll do my bit to cheer folks up too. This is a pic of a female avatar that shall remain nameless, who "sat" on another friend's pet cat, leading to an *extremely* compromising situation! (I laughed till I cried.)
The moral of this pic is: Don't sit on someone else's pet, especially if your clothes haven't rezzed...
