Of course that's Claire - I don't own those shoes :p

I'm shocked!! They were a group freebie, I think :D

And besides...that's Claire's spot at the bar. :p

Nice pics , Mo. Brann is looking very Janewayish.
I was the recipient of one of the first Hangout Decorations. Luckily, I think I had all the evidence destroyed.

So, have I mentioned the town next to mine is called Linden? We find this endlessly amusing. Was there today, right in the heart of it. Not as bad as I expected based on the outlying areas I've seen although there seemed to be a high rate of people talking to themselves on the street. I even found a large, gourmet Polish deli; only problem? I don't speak Polish so I couldn't translate what was written on the packaging of the items! Picked up some freshly made blintzes and pierogies however, and a prepared chicken in a mustard/cream sauce that looked really good. I think I'll have to go back with some kind of electronic translator next time or wing it by just looking at the pictures on the packaging :o

Kates shoes look a lot like a pair I got from Stiletto Moody. Very similar.

Mmmm, now that you mention it? I think my Alt may have that, in that red color for that matter. I'm going to have to log in and put on the one I think it is. It was one of my favs for her, and I never got it for Elora for some reason - probably because I just got tired of Gurl6 after awhile.

I know! I saw the picture you posted. Actually, I'm going to use them as the side dish for the chicken. I have cilantro growing on my deck now, and I have some gorgeous vine-ripened tomatoes here too. I was thinking about concocting a salsa to serve with them, remembering your post :) The two don't quite go together, but what the heck.

Try pesto on your pierogies. :)

I have basil growing too :D

Actually - that may be a better match with the chicken tonight.

And yes, I did like Linden very much Brenda. Went to the bakery and picked up some Italian cookies too. Nice little town, has everything in it one needs and is lacking in Rahway. Good thing it's so close by, I'm sure we'll be stopping in a lot more now.

BTW, have you ever been to Amici's? I passed it on Elizabeth Avenue, was wondering if it's any good.

Wow, I'm hungry for pirogies now! There's a great Polish restaurant in Santa Monica called Varshava (sp), they do a wonderful plate of fried pirogies. My favorite though is their salad sampler, OMG, every single one of the salads is to die for!

/waves forlornly at all the Threadies, who have probably started their weekends by now. I'm still at work, in a mostly empty building as it's Friday and most employees are on a furlough day today. Really, I'm mostly grateful I'm not on a furlough day though.
