Good morning, threadies! What's everyone up to today?

Me - a haircut (nothing drastic, more like a trim) and then overseeing some furniture moving. Two 19-year olds are undertaking to move my china hutch/cabinet from one room to another. This should prove to be an interesting afternoon.

I need to take son to air out his ears as well... if i hold him by his feet he makes a fine broom!
Yumm breakfast but I think I need one of my mom's extra strong cafe cubanos today to get started! You realize of course... I will first need to sneak in world- you know- make sure everything is as i left it- durn gremlins!

I'm home. It's snowing. I have to take the dog to the Vet, and hit the supermarket before all the milk and toilet paper is gone. Then take down the Christmas tree.

Right now I'm waiting for the coffee to come up (we use an expresso maker, so it does literally come up), but soon the contractor will come to fix a few little things he left undone in our kitchen.... then we have to take the Christmas ornaments to our storage place... then some cleaning.

The payoff is tonight when my husband is taking my daughter to a show, leaving me alone with my computer!

my SIL is 2 years older than me and she's wrinkled like a 70 year old. she LAYS OUT in the sun for a tan. her cleavage makes me want to puke. grotesque. plus, she looks like her brother (my hubby), so she's not very attractive anyway. so she's this wrinkled up looking man-girl person with big hair, and a lovely tan.

that's what vanity does to you. whatever.

don't be dissing my 24. i've been really frustrated with the delay and anticipating the return. the 2 hour pilot was most excellent. i watched it both times.

He's a little monster . Housebreaking and crate training are going ok, but he is teething, and everything in the house that isn't made for him to chew on is of course his favorite, including me, God help my shoes.

I remember when my sister got married and she and her husband got a new puppy, a shar pei (those "wrinkle dogs". Now, my sister had never really been around dogs much before meeting her husband, so she was unaware of canine behavior and the training of a puppy.

I cried I was laughing so hard when she called me to say "I have to watch him (also named "Boomer" EVERY SECOND!!!!"

I reminded her that she now had the care and feeding of a perpetual two-year old.

She was not happy with me.

The moving of the china cabinet/hutch went unbelievably smoothly.

...placing them under the edges of a really big and heavy hutch that sort of, but not really, looks like this:



I could not believe how smoothly the two 19-year olds were able to slide that hulking piece of furniture from the living room into the dining room.

/me is happy.

Good to know 19 year olds have some value.

Happy Snow Day all! It's the weekend so I don't care

Ghosty and I just got back from having lunch with Oryx in NYC. She's as lovely as we expected and Trout "is a very lucky guy" (Ghostys exact words lol). Pigged out on atomic wings and beer.

She headed back to do some shopping with her sister and we tried to go to the Rock and Roll Museum but they weren't picking up the phone for us to get the info where they were. We saw a billboard in the subway and it seemed to indicate they may not be open weekends, which may explain why they weren't picking up. So, decided to head home since the snow was picking up which was a good idea as it turned out, by our house it's kind of bad.

Got a box of Dunkin Donuts on the way home and now we're warm and cozy and doing more pigging out on them and lattes

BTW, we went on the horse ride last night, Lexxi was there. Lag was awful so we only managed to stay about an hour, however it was quite fun and I think we'll try it again some other time. We heard Amara was trying to get over there but was having TP issues?
