All the locations are markets/stores. If they are on an actual Gorean sim, they are in the safe area.

Some may ask that a demure style of dress is worn, not necessarily Gorean, but refraining from bellyshirts and micro skirts.

1979 movie. "The Warriors"

It's a classic.
I loved that movie.

are you suddenly getting spammed in your snail mail? don't you worry your name/identity is being sold?

Turbo Tax now costs $60
my CPA charges $250

i don't mind the $60 in comparison, but it'd be swell to be able to trust some online software for $0.

i'll look in to it better. thanks for the feedback.
I only get email from them a few times a year. I use a different email address for every online company that I purchase from - that way I can tell if anyone let my email address out - and they never have. Also, I do not use the online version - I would never store my financial data on anyone's server. I buy the software and download, fill it out and keep the files on my PC, and then use the software to send the data to the IRS. Also, Colorado taxes are so simple, I do not bother paying extra for the State software. In Colorado, it basically boils down to "give us 5% of whatever you gave the Feds" - with a few mods here and there.

Where does it start? I just looked at the blog, and that critical bit of information seems missing...

And what, exactly, is a Talender?

Thanks!

I have not yet changed the way I dress and many of my skirts are fairly short. The few times in the past that I have left the Gor market areas, I have dressed in full Free Woman dress. I don't bother worrying about the clothes when I shop and such, but then I seldom ever go out in a truly revealing outfit.

I had to look up talender -- it is a flower and some are very large and some are very very tiny. When I get inworld, I'll drop you the notecard I have on the hunt and post the info here in the thread. I'll be logged in here shortly.

I was companioned in Gor with Talenders woven into my hair. It is a type of flower only found on Gor. It was a lovely ceremony, a part of SL that will always remain a special day for me.

That was back in my alive days of course...!!!

Sounds lovely! SL can offer so much, of one's heart is open to finding it.

Here is the notecard that I received:

Greetings! Thank you for your interest in the Gorean Grid Wide Hunt. This hunt is a fairly simply one.

Each store will be putting out a Talender flower. It may be small or large. They will hide it within their store.

Inside each Talender is a prize from that store and an LM to the next store in the hunt "trail".

We wish everyone luck. If you have a problem finding a Talender in a particular store, please IM LuckyJade Alter.

Starting Point:
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Topaz/92/68/28

Note that the first folder you get is #0 and some of the numbers are duplicated and then skipped -- something like no #3, but two #4s or two 4s and no #5 or something like that. I've had that twice now and I'm only on #6 or 7.

For the techies in the group -- network techies that is: My mother and her husband use their son's server setup as their ISP. Therefore, I believe that means that all of their network traffic goes thru the son's server/network setup. And he therefore could snoop the network and see ALL of her SL conversations? Is that correct?

Yes he could unless they were encrypting them.

It would not be as accidental as that - he would have to want to do it and take specific steps to peek at the traffic.

Nope, however it does require some steps to piece the bits together and read it as a coherent whole - and a special program too. Nothing that comes with Windows as standard can allow anyone to do this.

A talendar is a flower that looks like a red carnation.

While on this hunt, I saw the tiniest person... at first I thought she was a doll, or far away, she was so small, and the photo doesn't do her justice -- she had the most beautiful avatar I've seen:

But I did get to wear my one and only Robe - never did find talenders - Oh well :)
