From: Maureen Boccaccio Thanks, Elora. I don't often have the need to wear silks, but it could be nice to have some in reserve! The whole 1-1/2 I've been here, I've never worn any. I got rid of all of them in my inventory finally about 2 months ago EXCEPT for one outfit which Four Yip made, which I did wear specifically for a photo shoot so she could see it. Oh and I do own an I Dream of Jennie outfit, but I think that doesn't count. Too kitchy /cue music from TV program

From: Elora Lunasea I went to a sim once in my SL infancy to check it out. Without going into a long-winded story, I was very turned off as soon as I saw how often the women had to stop and kneel each time a man passed by. I didn't mind the thought of the role play in general but all that stopping and starting with the A/O irked me lol. Plus, I'm really not that subservient. I went off to play Mistress, as one of my Alt's, with a friend of mine instead I don't know much about the whole thing. But I have heard that some of the sims are beautiful enough to check out regardless of the RP going on.

RE Gor hunt:
I would imagine if there is a hunt they may relax a little - generally though i do not know personally cause my exposure to SL Gor has been very limited- most places do have Observer tags.
That said, when in Gor do as the Goreans do is a good rule to follow. Ladies, you might wish to go escorted and wear discrete clothing, a veil wd be nice if you own one. If you do not interact with the people much u shd be fine after all merchants wd want to encourage commerce.
Goreans are the same as anyone else- but with attitude dialed up a notch or two- outside of SL so i imagine in SL it wd be the same. As for the slaves, pretend they are not there- if they are RP'ing it right they should not be speaking to you anyway. Though I did go to a store once long ago OWNED by a kajira- very odd really.

Oh...and... Gooood Moorning Threadville! Today is a high of 30, sunshine, and a beautiful blanket of new-fallen snow. So grab that special someone and hit the slopes! Or cuddle up with your honey (little "h"!) and enjoy a perfect Thursday! We now return to your thread...already in progress....

I haven't been to any of the sims in over a year, but alot of them were nice builds. All of the markets that I know of were not part of the rp areas. Most of them had "observer" tags to see the sims without being involved in the rp. Or what Amara said.

The few I went to are quite spectacular. And, I have purchased items which are Gor related for my old island home because they went well with the theme. I have a very beautiful tent with a rug with very good poses built into it. Alas, doesn't go with my current modern home but I had it up for ages in the first land I bought here.

From: 3Ring Binder i'm envious. but glad you and the kids'll get some routine back in your lives. Seriously. Autistic children thrive on routine. Vacations mess them all up and they start reverting to old behaviors and losing skills. My little one has stayed up every night till 1-2 am since vacation started. He woke up and went with no problems today which was surprising. I honestly believe they shouldn't have longer than two to three day vacations. Not to be mean or because I don't want them at home with me. But because they are just at their best with a strong daily routine. Anyway,I can't wait to go to bed at a normal time tonight.

Good points 3 I retract my statements. You deserve all the time off in the world.<3 Do you mean PEC? We use to when they couldn't talk. Both can communicate pretty good now though(well,as good as can be expected),so we don't use them anymore. We do use transition schedules, though they don't really work all that well at home.

From: Rioko Bamaisin Good points 3 I retract my statements. You deserve all the time off in the world.<3 no need to retract. i totally get how it all works, and i know it is very hard for families. what's different is that, while we have certain emotional attachments to the kids, it's not the same love as 'mom love' and so we are able to detach and 'be tough' - it is very very hard for a parent to be like a teacher and run a home on s strict routine like school is. if any one of my kids was 'my kid' i would NOT be able to work there. i know how it works, and i wouldn't be able to watch someone being tough on my kid - nevermind me doing it. My oldest was not diagnosed until he was 5. Autism was pretty unheard of back then,so his pedi had no idea why he banged his head off the wall all the time, couldn't talk at all and had such severe behavior issues. With my youngest I saw the signs at about 17 months and he was diagnosed early. He got into Building Blocks(ABA) at about 18 months. And what a difference it has made compared to my oldest. He is only four now and I swear sometimes he has better sentence structure than my 13 year old. Early intervention makes all the difference IMO. He can actually read!Which blows my mind. He will come up to my computer and start reading words off my screen.(which is kind of annoying lol but makes me proud of him at the same time.) My oldest didnt start reading till 7! Thanks for your kind words.
