Officially doomed.

Welcome Lin!

So, does everyone know about the Gorean Grid Wide Hunt coming up?

No, not making this up. Just saw it on the Fab Free blog.

I won't be going to this one, not into silks and such but thought some of you might be interested.

Crud. Snowing in NJ. Normally I'd find this a lovely occurance on my day off but today is the day I'm meeting Oryx for dinner. Will really stink if the weather turns bad. Not fun dragging into NYC in junky weather :(

Thanks, Elora. I don't often have the need to wear silks, but it could be nice to have some in reserve!

Oh jeez. Can we wear guns?

Seriously, though. Do they have "Visitor" tags or anything to prevent one from being captured, collared, etc.?

Pretty sure there are no guns in Gor. Ropes maybe. Some swords. Much running around and capturing. But no bullets.

Yeah... I have bought a few nice things in Gorean stores, but they were on the periphery of that whole world, and I only saw a few women, no men.

Frankly it's a little scary. And I think I remember reading the only weapon women are allowed is a dagger, so...

I have a nice pair of big honking handguns with tintable thigh holsters, but I rarely get to use them.

What proportion of posts on this thread are about the thread itself? I like talking about this amazing thread (when I'm in a silly mood)!

Hmmm. Not sure. Every so often, there will be a series of posts in which people talk about the thread's influence in their SL and/or RL. Or they'll reminisce about the thread's infancy and childhood....

Me...I'm just glad the thread continues to grow, and that I get to meet new people as well as strengthen ties to friends I've made here. :)

Nah, don't think it will. NJ Transit is relatively reliable and then I'm taking the subway uptown.

I'm more concerned about wearing my Timberlands which having been causing havoc with my knees for some reason lately. They are SO comfortable on my feet but heavy, you know? My right knee has been a problem again and every time I wear them it screws it up. I'm supposed to be going for therapy again but with the move haven't had the time, let alone my insurance changed and the place that has been incredibly helpful is no longer in my plan :( . I just don't know who to trust for it. I've been stupidly lazy about just using "someone".

/me wonders when there will be a way to replace cartiledge in knees without complete replacements? Or to stop being a klutz? :p

I went to a sim once in my SL infancy to check it out. Without going into a long-winded story, I was very turned off as soon as I saw how often the women had to stop and kneel each time a man passed by. I didn't mind the thought of the role play in general but all that stopping and starting with the A/O irked me lol.

Plus, I'm really not that subservient.

I went off to play Mistress, as one of my Alt's, with a friend of mine instead :p

1 user heartily agrees.

But 1 user's heart might fail him should the reserves be brought out.
