This is true. it is possible to report on these things without exploiting them. At least it used to be, before news became 24/7 Entertainment.

I like Glenn Beck too. And Joe Scarbourough. And Keith Olbermann. But I can also watch Hannity and O'Reilly in small doses.

Hah! ...Aaaanyway, this French guy showed up and stood right behind me, and proceeded to say hello to me...then asked me if I wanted to come with him so he could give me a massage. "Venez, Maureen"..or something like that.

I told him, politely, no thank you, I was quite happy where I was, with Jerboa. The guy then IM'd me, trying to convince me to come away him. I was a bit more brusque in my response...and as I was tping away...he's calling out "Maureen, embracez-moi!!" (or however it's spelled)

Oh, I forgot. He also asked us how old we were. Jerboa (who as you've noted, speaks French) replied "ancien." I said I was 105, and I asked him didn't he think I looked well-preserved for my age. :D

I understand that an IM exchange took place between Jerboa and the fellow, but I was not there for that as I'd already headed home.

The end. :)
Actually I think I can top your story. My son and I were on our own property when a male avatar flew in. At first we were friendly to him with my son translating between my English and this new guy's Spanish. Then he asks me for sex. OK no harm no foul but no thanks. But he won't take no for an answer even after my son tells him I'm his rl mother. We were laughing of course but talk about not having boundaries.

Once you get through their particular slant, they pretty much are about equal in factuality. Fox uses the dour buttoned down pseudo conservative voice , while CNN throws out bright lights and Entertainment Tonight. neither is very watchable for my taste.
I'd say Fox is hysterical propaganda pretending to be news and CNN is vague gossip pretending to be news.

I get Martin Luther King Jr day off and the Friday before that is my flex day so I'll get a 4-day weekend then. Another one in Feb because my flex day falls on the Friday before Presidents' Day, and again in March because of a flex day and a holiday that nobody else ever heard of called Cesar Chavez day.
I'm glad to hear you have some long weekends to look forward to. I think everyone needs them. Cesar Chavez is a pretty big deal out here. He got me to stop eating grapes for ten years. (And I love grapes.) And finally won significant improvements in the lives of the people who make it possible for us all to eat.
