From: Gabriele Graves Mari would be safe, its the grown ups who need to worry Hee! From: Maureen Boccaccio Hah! I remember that movie. It looked like you were having a great time. It's what seems to happen to the SL addicted when they congregate. The gestures fly fast. (You shoulda seen the first couple days of camp. Especially with a couple gesture makers in attendance!)

From: Jerboa Haystack Brenda coined the term: That Guy That Keeps Following Maureen Around Speaking of that...you should ask her about "The Frenchman" From: Amaranthim Talon Details si'l vous plaît! Hah! It's not that exciting a story... Well, when Jerboa and I were at Wolf Mountain Lodge sims last night (have you been there? It's amazing ), after a horseback ride through their extensive trails, and ice skating using some trick skating poseballs masquerading as couples' skating poseballs, we wandered inside the actual Lodge to take a look around. We stopped and tried out some silly poseballs tagged "Argue"...they had a menu like...point finger...wave arms...cross arms...(I think there were some pushing and shoving ones, but we didn't try those)...Aaaanyway, this French guy showed up and stood right behind me, and proceeded to say hello to me...then asked me if I wanted to come with him so he could give me a massage. "Venez, Maureen"..or something like that. I told him, politely, no thank you, I was quite happy where I was, with Jerboa. The guy then IM'd me, trying to convince me to come away him. I was a bit more brusque in my response...and as I was tping away...he's calling out "Maureen, embracez-moi!!" (or however it's spelled) Oh, I forgot. He also asked us how old we were. Jerboa (who as you've noted, speaks French) replied "ancien." I said I was 105, and I asked him didn't he think I looked well-preserved for my age. I understand that an IM exchange took place between Jerboa and the fellow, but I was not there for that as I'd already headed home. The end.

From: Key MacMoragh I really need to start taking pictures... I had a cute encounter a few moments ago inworld. First of all, I was connecting to SL from my workplace, where a firewall makes everything a bit weird and laggy. Second, I had just bought an interesting gadget from xstreetsl and was waiting for delivery. My local chat said that the object had arrived and gave an slurl. I waited and waited but the thing never showed in inventory. So I clicked on the slurl, and thinking I was in a store, waited for things to rez... IM'ing with a friend, and then, this guy with a name I didn't recognize IM's me. Him: Key? Me: Yes? Him: How are you? Me: Good? You? all the while I'm thinking "Who the F is this guy? Do I know him?" Then he says, "I'm good too. I don't usually find people on my build platform, though." It turned out that my teleport had dropped me 500 meters higher than I'd asked, which is a little more than odd, I think. But anyway, it was one of those times that it was good to have red hair and a nice dress. LOL!!! Great story. And what an unusual way to meet someone new.

From: Maureen Boccaccio Congratulations, Elora!! What a wonderful compliment. Well, you are a marvelous photographer... Meh, not marvelous, decent and occassionally better than decent. I really need a better computer - with a good graphics card, that's the main problem for me. My composition is usually good but the colors/textures come out not as well as I know they should let alone the compression of the shots themselves. Very frustrating, especially when I start making comparisons to my RL work. Ugh. Just not on the agenda at the moment. Or maybe. I don't know, I'm contemplating stretching the budget

That part of the story really made me laugh hard for some reason. Just really tickles me

Ugh. My friends are serious CNN junkies, I can't go anywhere in the hose and not have some sort of screen with it on it seems, but do we need to dissect the Jet Travolta story? It's sickening. *rant off*

From: Ann Launay Edit: OK, I'm apparently not allowed to make long posts. I tried to copy the site's description of the feeding process over and got the 'Forbidden' error, but the two lines above went fine. There is a Jira on posting that contain certain combinations of Sql words - makes posting certain things a royal pain in the ass.

Well I don't watch CNN but I have had the misfortune to see Fox News from time to time and had been led to believe CNN was a bit more reliable but I will defer to you on that and it does not surprise me much.

Once you get through their particular slant, they pretty much are about equal in factuality. Fox uses the dour buttoned down pseudo conservative voice , while CNN throws out bright lights and Entertainment Tonight. neither is very watchable for my taste.

From: Tex Nasworthy When's the next holiday? I get Martin Luther King Jr day off and the Friday before that is my flex day so I'll get a 4-day weekend then. Another one in Feb because my flex day falls on the Friday before Presidents' Day, and again in March because of a flex day and a holiday that nobody else ever heard of called Cesar Chavez day.
