Hi. I got home a little while ago and have already got caught up here. Too much too comment on except: Jerboa, how cool about the bald eagles! I don't know if I've ever seen any outside of the zoo.

Nice. I have the Twilight CD. :D

Was in a Halo clan with the girl (Lacey) singing in this first video (Flyleaf).
Until they got popular and she toured all the time. I left the clan. She may be there now for all I know. The whole band are big gamers.

Some would say the same about getting involved with pixel avatars. Sure, it isn't. But well, we project in SL just as well as they do in RL. So it's not *that* different.
At least there is a live person controlling that avatar I'm interacting with.

That was EONS ago. He said he was leaving the thread or forums I forget which.

I am out of the loop though so if he has been around here forgive me.. but he said he was leaving the thread or whatever about the time Xpods stopped. It was right after the big drama over hitting X amount of posts.
He left the forums and it was a different drama that sent him on his way - roughly last Aug.

Hey folks- re Xerxes- I see Bec on the builder group all the time and i am pretty sure i saw her at one of CX's parties not long ago and I believe she did mention Xerxes in a positive manner - meaning i get the idea all is well and he just isn't in the forums. However I have not seen him in ages here or in world and i do not have anything concrete to state - just a vague feeling that all is well in the kingdom. Next i see her i will ask though.
All is well with them - I chat with them fairly often. Xerxes not only left the forums, but also the inworld group and does not come to the Hangout any more, so that is why you don't see him and why he is never in group chat.

Well, Claire. I just checked in the old Halo clan.

Her last post was August. So, Either she is on the road or like the rest of us.. just fell away.

Yes. There's a certain amount of uncertainty with how the other person will act and react. But I do believe that we project some part of ourselves onto the other person. Assuming SL interactions only, we can't read body language, tone of voice, or any other number of subtle and unconscious cues that we use to discern what's going on behind the eyes (in fact, the eyes are a huge cue missing in SL). I believe we fill those gaps with our own personalities. (I'm talking about someone we have intimate relationships with.)

So different, yes. But not *entirely* different.
