Easy, Pep...Love did have a little "wink" emoticon after her post...I think her sense of humor is intact...

...as is yours, I know, since I took your original post to me (joking with me asking an actual question) to be quite amusing.

So please, folks...issues y'all have outside the thread...please keep them outside the thread...yes?

Oooh...those phantom horses are cool. Love the pic of you two on horseback, too. Where is that?

A horse back riding place that is sim wide - I think Steely said it was several sims. I was lagging so badly I ended up under a mountain! So we TP'd on out of there and went dancing- hehe the club owner sent me a TP and it was very busy last night so when he sent it i just took it- showed up wearing my horse :D

Mo- very stylish and amusing ... melon balls :D

Will you ask Steely for the LM for the horseback riding sims? :)

And LOL on the wearing your horse to go dancing. Is it a Lipizzaner? :p

Marianne - for the avoidance of doubt, and since it was my post about a rambling question of yours that caused quite a few over-emotional threadees to conclude that I was "mean", I am delighted to see you here. The posts of yours that I have noticed since (as I have previously commented) have been delightful; models for other over-precipitate posters to emulate.

Pep (Also, that pic of yours is "lush" as my 13yo son would put it!)

Have you considered compiling a guide for the would-be poster?

I'm trying to come up a suitable title... I'm sure it will come to me...

How about Pep's Educated Posting Guide? :D

Dave Berry is one of my all time favorite comical newspaper columnists. His Year in Review came out on Friday. If you have not read it yet, it is great. Here's the opening bits:

Dave Barry Year in Review: Bailing out of 2008

How weird a year was it?

Here's how weird:

• O.J. actually got convicted of something.

• Gasoline hit $4 a gallon -- and those were the good times.

• On several occasions, Saturday Night Live was funny.

• There were a few days there in October when you could not completely rule out the possibility that the next Treasury Secretary would be Joe the Plumber.

• Finally, and most weirdly, for the first time in history, the voters elected a president who -- despite the skeptics who said such a thing would never happen in the United States -- was neither a Bush NOR a Clinton.

Of course not all the events of 2008 were weird. Some were depressing. The only U.S. industries that had a good year were campaign consultants and foreclosure lawyers. Everybody else got financially whacked. Millions of people started out the year with enough money in their 401(k)'s to think about retiring on, and ended up with maybe enough for a medium Slurpee.

So we can be grateful that 2008 is almost over. But before we leave it behind, let's take a few minutes to look back and see if we can find some small nuggets of amusement. Why not? We paid for it, starting with . . .

And the link to the rest of the article (which gives month-by-month highlights):

While doing the latest TQ hunt, one of the sims had created lots and lots of snow-people in many humorous poses. I took pics of all of them because they were so comical. You can see them all here, if you wish:

With all the really cool pics seen lately of that place, it is getting bumped to the top of my "explore" list.

Oh come on. Resident Troll. That was funny (at least to me). Your threats are silly, however. Nonetheless, as everyone notes, this is not the place.

As I keep pointing out to you, I do not remotely satisfy the definition, as widely acknowledged, of a troll, any more than you satisfy the definition of a humourist. If you want to continue your puerile campaign here, then I am quite disposed to do so, to the probable detriment of the Thread. Otherwise, leave your own trolling (for your attitude *does* satisfy the definition) outside this thread.

Pep (I wasn't threatening, merely warning)

The Hotel Dare
12-28-2008 10:12
I got a notice today that The Hotel Dare is closing by January 15th, for personal reasons of the owner. I suppose the creators there will start moving their stuff Real Soon Now. This is one of my favorite haunts for wildly inventive stuff of all kinds, so if you haven't been there recently, I highly recommend stopping in and getting acquainted with some of the creators there, before they scatter to the winds.

Thanks Qie. It is another place I have never heard of that I will definitely plan to visit.
