From: Key MacMoragh Ooof! Nine AM here, and I'm ready to go back to bed. My daughter wanted to get up at seven to open presents... so... groggy but happy, thankful to be home and not at work. AND... all is not as I expected, but in a good way... no all day in pajamas, first of all! I had to change into my "nice" pajamas for the pictures... friends coming for lunch... so... dot dot dot It's good, though. I love these friends who are coming for lunch. My little sister and her fiance will come for the weekend, so it's all very familicious and warm, etc. Hugs and warmth to all of you! It sounds like you were going to have a great day...and a great weekend!

From: Kaimi Kyomoon Merry fabulous Christmas, Maureen! Wait a minute. Why are those drinks pink? Did you add Grenadine to the mimosas? Mmmm... I might drink a little bit of that... LOL...I am not sure what that drink was in the food pic (are those cinnamon sticks?). The mimosas were in the third photo. I'll take one of each. From: Kaimi Kyomoon We aren't doing anything special today just taking it easy and appreciating being together and our many other blessings. Vegetarian Christmas dinner for two later. And eating chocolate. This sounds like a marvelous way to spend the day, Kaimi....especially the spending time together, and the eating of chocolate.

From: Brenda Connolly As I wait for the family to beam in, A Merry Christmas to all you Bastiges. LOL. This pic reminds me of those horrible "colorized" black/white movie classics. James Tiberius is sporting some very nice lip gloss in this one.

From: Jerboa Haystack It's quiet..almost too quiet. I spent the morning decorating cookies. Soon, it's a trip to LL Bean. They brag about being open 24/7/365...yeah...prove it. Hope everyone is having a great day, and for those getting gifts..that you get exactly what you want. *wave* COOOOOOKIES!!! Yummmm. I bet they were delicious. pxplskthnxbai I know what you mean about things sometimes being too quiet. Having grown up with 3 brothers and 1 sister, I'm used to noisy Christmas mornings.

From: Elora Lunasea Well my turkey is in the oven so while we're staying away from the alcohol this early I will admit to partaking in some herbal festivities. I can manage to cook while enjoying that We were also not adverse to polishing off nearly a dozen Dunkin Donuts since I picked them up last night I have lemon meriangue tarts for after dinner. Brownies are sounding good too. I have a boxed mix I can make. Even a caramel banana muffin mix from Williams Sonoma if we really get the munchies. Ah, a quiet day at home with nothing pressing to do but eat. Loverly! Hope everyone is enjoying there day! I knew I should have come to visit you for the holidays!

From: Lewis Luminos Well the day's almost over here now. I spent it with my in-laws (which wasn't so bad). Opened gifts, ate too much, drank not enough, and watched the Doctor Who Christmas Special. Managed to sneak online for a bit but if I stay here too long I'll be accused of being unsociable >.< LOL, Lewis. I hope you had a great day.

From: Maureen Boccaccio That HBO Special he did...called "Bill Cosby, Himself"...that was some good stuff. That was the one we were watching He is so funny and he talks to everyone. I remember thinking bout that bit about "my wife told everyone that my parents weren't married" when my kid was born. That and Carol Burnett's, Sounds Off.. "pain? pain? I am in agony!" Freaked my cousin out who was on the phone with my girlfriend at the time and had apparently not seen the movie... I tried that natural child birth thing- really, really stupid idea- (I was in a very progressive sort of hospital, in attendance at my son's birth were my husband, my mother and my girlfriend beside the attending nurses and doctor- it was very cool that I was able to demand there be no men present at all other than husband.

From: Claire Silverspar damn...I missed Doctor Who I didn't think it was that good this year. Pep (One trick pony, and I saw through it pretty quickly) PS You can probably see it on iPlayer, as can our foreign friends who know how to set up an appropriate proxy.

I hope everyone had a fabulous day, however you celebrate (or don't)! Technically, we haven't had Christmas yet, since our roads aren't clear enough yet to traverse to the family gathering household on the other side of town; it's starting to thaw, and we're hoping to make it before my stepson flies back to LA on Sunday. I did have my Christmas in SL on Tuesday, though, exchanging gifts with my SL sweetie. /me waves and surrepticiously slides an extra cookie off Jerboa's plate.

From: Kaimi Kyomoon I just read that Eartha kitt has died. From: Skell Dagger And Harold Pinter, too. We always seem to lose a lot of people at the end of the year I was sad to see both of these notices yesterday. In particular, Eartha's been on my mind, since I've heard "Santa Baby" at least once a day for the past 2-3 weeks. And, of course, the kittehs of the thread cannot forget that she was Catwoman:
